Merkur Gaming launched Rapid Thunder at Juegos Miami
(Miami, SoloAzar Exclusive).- David Orrick, Merkur Gaming Director of Industry Relations, spoke to SoloAzar during Juegos Miami. He talked about recent product launches as well as the experience of being the major manufacturer at the show, where the company participated for the last four years.
“Merkur Gaming, for many different reasons, was the major manufacturer to sign up to the original Juegos Miami, back in 2016. We have been here for the last four years and we continue to be very strong and enthusiastic supporters of the show. The importance of being here for us is that it provides an ideal venue in Miami where we can bring all of our team from our subsidiaries in Argentina, in Colombia, in Mexico and in Peru, as well as our staff from the United States and we can network extensively with all the important gaming figures from all around the region,” affirmed Orrick.
He then talked about a new product launch: “This year and this experience at Juegos Miami is exceptionally important for Merkur Gaming, because here we launch a brand new and hugely exciting product. One that has been in development for some time but now it’s ready to face the test of being shown to the end users the players, as well as the operators. This product is called Rapid Thunder and it is no exaggeration to say that in the world of gaming today, Rapid Thunder is unique, because, in a world where jackpots are king, Merkur Gaming and its development company in Las Vegas, called Sunshine Games, has come up with the concept of having a non-progressive, non-linked jackpot, inbuilt into the game. And as we discussed last night in a private meeting, this game has a jackpot bonus, and the jackpot bonus IS the game. Rapid Thunder is all about the bonus.”
When asked if the firm considers that there are some countries more interesting than others in Latin America, he answered: “No, there are not, because our status in the whole Latin American market right now is hugely successful. We are a leading brand company, we have great products, we have a great customer base, and our objective is always to expand further, particularly in the new markets where they exist. Such as, for example, in Uruguay and Paraguay and most recently in Chile. We always look to expand and also to make a great success where we have existing markets, particularly in Peru and also in Mexico. But that is not in any way to downplay the importance of Colombia and Argentina. Both those countries have had economic difficulties in recent years, but the signs are that such problems that have existed are now coming much better, so we look forward to having increased success in Colombia and in Argentina also.”
