Sbtech displayed its full turnkey solution at ICE
(London, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Andrew Cochrane, Chief Development Officer, SBTech, talked to SoloAzar about the participation of the firm at the latest ICE edition, held last February in London. "Europe has been vitally important for SBTech and we continue to see positive growth in both mature and emerging markets with large-scale renewal agreements," he said.
What did you showcase this year at ICE? How important was for the company to participate in ICE?
ICE is the first major event in the calendar and can set the tone for the rest of the year. Our ‘Join the big league’ campaign at the exhibition has done just that by showcasing how we have increased our partners’ revenues through our world-class technology.
SBTech’s full turnkey solution was on display at ICE, comprising our extensive sportsbook, aggregated casino hub, omni-channel retail offer and our integrated management platform, which allows partners to control their operations from a central location.
With operators in attendance from around the globe, it was fundamental that SBTech could present its localised products that meet regulation criteria in over 20 markets.
How is the company positioned in Europe?
Europe has been vitally important for SBTech and we continue to see positive growth in both mature and emerging markets with large-scale renewal agreements. Our lottery contract with Veikkaus is one example and Spanish brand wanabet.es recently migrated from its legacy platform to our advanced technology.
Our extensive experience and expertise in Europe has contributed to our reputation as a leader and innovator within the industry, and we will be able to draw on this experience as we educate and launch partners in emerging territories outside of Europe.
How does the calendar of events continue for the company and which are expectations?
We are focusing on the major global events and will also continue to expand our presence in Latin America and Africa this year. We have localised solutions for different territories that is the result of significant investment in our technology and product teams, and these exhibitions will provide a platform for SBTech to showcase this investment.
What are the goals you hope to achieve in 2020?
2019 was a record year for the business having secured significant partnerships with lottery providers and premium operators and we are aiming to build on this in 2020 through announcing new partnerships and extending existing ones.
Alongside entering new territories, we will continue to work premium gaming partners. Our API suite has undergone significant investment, and what this means is that we can provide flexibility and customisation that we know more established operators are seeking.
All operators of course want to differentiate themselves in a crowded market, and our API suite facilitates this. We have already seen this with Virgin Bet and can expect to see more tier one partners join SBTech in the future.
