FBMDS aligned with the Latin American market by reinforcing and adapting customized and specific content

What impressed you the most about the 2023 edition of SBC Summit Latam event?

The 2023 edition of SBC Summit LatAm left a lasting impression on us due to its vibrant atmosphere and the big opportunities it presented for FBMDS. The event successfully brought together key stakeholders, industry experts, and enthusiasts from the Latin American region, fostering insightful discussions on the latest trends and challenges in this iGaming market, which is one of FBMDS’ top priorities.

Not only was it very well organized, business-wise it was quite fruitful for FBMDS, as we were able to connect with operators and providers that are highly impactful in the United States as well.

What is the current situation of the firm in the LATAM market?

FBMDS continues to strengthen its position, leveraging its commitment to innovation, customization, and localization. What makes us stand-out from the crowd is our personalized content approach, that is adapted to each specific market.

We own deep knowledge about how these markets operate, gaming habits and profiles, mostly because of the Group’s background and cultural bond to these regions, allowing us a competitive advantage in that sense. Our participation in events like SBC Summit LatAm precisely reflects the dedication to understanding and meeting the unique needs of the Latin American gaming community.

On the last day of the SiGMA Europe 2023, Guilherme Graziani and Angel Rodriguez opened the debate on “The LATAM'S Grey Market - The Pros and Cons of an Unregulated Market” conference. Can you summarize the highlights of the debate and the conclusions and reflections about it, especially in Brazil?

The panel discussion on the LatAm's Grey Market at SiGMA Europe 2023 was a thought-provoking session where Guilherme Graziani and Angel Rodriguez shared valuable insights. The debate highlighted the challenges associated with unregulated markets, focusing on Brazil's unique landscape, in which we have very deep knowledge because of our cultural connection with the country.

Key takeaways included discussions on the potential benefits of regulation in terms of consumer protection and industry growth, balanced with concerns about stifling innovation and the need for flexible regulatory frameworks to accommodate the diverse needs of the market.

Taking into account that the Latam market is driven by sports betting enthusiasts, what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of the Brazilian gambling regulation in the near future?

We believe the Brazilian gambling regulation presents a significant opportunity for the FBM Group and the whole industry, especially in a market driven by sports betting enthusiasts, once it can make the most relevant improvement in the gaming industry by forming new players. Some of the advantages might include the potential for increased revenue, a safer and more transparent market for casino operators and betting sites, and enhanced consumer protection. However, challenges may arise in finding the right balance in regulations to encourage competition, innovation, and fair market practices. I believe the key will be in creating a regulatory framework that supports responsible gaming while fostering a competitive and dynamic market environment.

Anything else to add?

Looking ahead to 2024, at FBMDS is excited to continue our commitment to innovation and excellence in the iGaming industry. We have exciting new launches and trendy releases coming up, aimed at delivering cutting-edge gaming experiences to our clients and boosting profitability.

We’re also planning to be present at the biggest and most relevant shows and events in the casino and gaming industry, connecting with key players, and exploring opportunities for collaboration both in the land-based and the online gaming sectors.

Stay tuned for what’s coming from the FBM Group in 2024!
