Sportradar Closes a Pivotal 2025 in Brazil and Sets the Pace for Sustainable Growth in 2026

A Year of Consolidation and Strategic Milestones

2025 marked a decisive chapter for Sportradar in Brazil and across Latin America. For the global sports technology leader, the year was defined not only by operational growth but also by the depth and quality of its institutional relationships. According to Sérgio Floris, Managing Director Brazil, the company’s first full year operating through its São Paulo office proved to be a turning point.

“2025 was a pivotal and highly constructive year for Sportradar in Brazil, marked both by the volume and quality of what we delivered and by the strength of the relationships we deepened across the ecosystem,” Floris stated.

The local presence enabled Sportradar to work more closely with operators, regulators and sports organizations during a transformative moment for the industry. One of the most relevant institutional achievements was the signing of a Technical Cooperation Agreement with Brazil’s Ministry of Sport, which established a formal framework for collaboration on information sharing, training initiatives and investigative support.

Integrity remained a cornerstone of Sportradar’s strategy. The renewal of its partnership with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) allowed the company to intensify monitoring and educational efforts, covering more than 8,200 matches per season.

“Strengthening integrity is not a one-off effort; it requires continuity, education and trust,” Floris emphasized. “Our renewed collaboration with CBF reflects that long-term commitment.”

Across Latin America, education also took center stage. Throughout 2025, Sportradar delivered 52 Integrity Workshops in 10 countries, reaching more than 2,600 participants from across the sporting ecosystem, including referees, players and coaching staff.

Beyond football, the company advanced its diversification strategy through its partnership with the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV). The collaboration integrates data distribution with advanced technological solutions such as the Challenge System, Data Hub analytics and AI-driven applications at the Saquarema training center.

"These technologies are already helping improve athlete performance, modernize competition management and elevate fan engagement,” Floris noted, pointing to tangible impacts on Brazilian volleyball’s international positioning.

Globally, the completion of the IMG Arena acquisition represented another major milestone. By expanding access to premium sports properties such as Wimbledon, the US Open, Roland Garros, MLS, EuroLeague and the PGA Tour, Sportradar surpassed one million events covered annually—strengthening its value proposition for the Brazilian market.

Responsible betting also gained momentum with the launch of Bettor Sense in Brazil, with BETesporte as its first adopter.

“Aligning AI-driven insights with regulation and consumer protection is essential for building a safer and more sustainable market,” Floris said.

2026: Technology, Scale and a Maturing Ecosystem

Looking ahead, Sportradar sees 2026 as a year of accelerated opportunity, particularly in Brazil. Regulation, market maturity and technological evolution are creating the foundations for a more transparent and competitive environment.

“Brazil is at a decisive moment,” Floris explained. “According to international estimates, the country is expected to become the world’s fifth-largest betting market in its first year of regulation, which reinforces its growing global relevance.”

Brazilian bettors are highly connected and experience-driven, making platform quality, stability and speed critical differentiators. As regulation advances, operators are increasingly demanding integrated, intelligent solutions capable of supporting high transaction volumes while minimizing operational and integrity risks.

“Integrated ecosystems that combine data, algorithms and both pre-match and in-play markets have become essential,” Floris said. “That is exactly where Sportradar plays a key role and delivers what our clients expect from us.”

For 2026, the company anticipates continued growth in iGaming, AI-driven odds, content personalization, operational automation and more advanced fraud-prevention models. Brazil’s rapid expansion will further increase demand for robust, data-oriented and fully integrated solutions.

"Our focus is on investing in innovation, strengthening our presence in Brazil and deepening partnerships across the entire ecosystem,” Floris concluded. “From operators and federations to clubs, athletes and authorities, collaboration will be fundamental to supporting this new phase of sustainable growth.”
