Matjaz Petek becomes new Senior Sales Manager International at Merkur Gaming

(Espelkamp/Lübbecke).- As of 1 February, Matjaz Petek will join the sales team of Merkur Gaming as the new Senior Sales Manager International. The 46-year-old Slovenian will be responsible for the markets in southern and eastern Europe.

“We are delighted to welcome Matjaz Petek, whose extensive market and product know-how will continue to drive the success of Merkur Gaming in southern and eastern Europe,” says Athanasios “Sakis” Isaakidis, Chief Executive International and Head of Product Management at Merkur Gaming. “Matjaz Petek knows the gaming industry inside and out and is therefore the perfect match for our team.”
With over 25 years of experience under his belt, Matjaz Petek describes himself as a “veteran of the gaming industry”. Prior to joining Merkur Gaming, he worked for several of the world’s most renowned and internationally active gaming companies, where he held managerial positions in marketing and sales, including Gaming Operations and Sales Manager at Alfastreet, Gtech and IGT.
“I’m looking forward to the tasks that await me, because the Gauselmann Group, with its international sales brand Merkur Gaming, is one of the biggest players in the gaming industry,” says Matjaz Petek. “I’m really impressed by the broad product portfolio of Merkur Gaming and look forward to supporting the team with my skills and experience in the future.”
