(Mendoza).- The Government of Mendoza is advancing steadily in the implementation of online gambling in the province. The Provincial Institute of Games and Casino (IPJyC) selected five companies interested in providing the service in the province. The State Prosecutor's Office is analyzing the bidding process to advance in the online betting service.

In October last year, the Province called for a public tender to grant between two and five license permits for online gambling. The term of validity of these permits will be 10 years.

At this time, the approval of the State Prosecutor's Office is awaiting, which is analyzing the legality of the bidding process. When the study is finished, the state prosecutor, Fernando Simón, must issue an opinion that leads to the adjudication or not of this type of betting.

The Provincial Institute of Games and Casino (IPJyC) has already shortlisted the five companies that would take charge of providing the online gaming service in the province. These are companies that operate in the province and have allied with betting firms and platforms that already operate nationwide.

One of the bidders is the Traylon company, owned by Ricardo Benedicto, a former partner of Kirchner businessman Cristóbal López, which recently won and was awarded the concession for the exploitation of the slot machine service at the Central Casino in Mendoza. It was presented associated with Ondiss also linked to the BetWarrior platform.

Another well-known gambling firm that appeared is Desarrollos Maipú, which is in charge of the administration of the Arena Maipú casino and is related to the former president of Boca Juniors, Daniel Angelici. It did so together with Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a firm originally from the United States with a presence in Mexico and Colombia and which has the Rushbet platform.

The hotel firm Emprender SA, which controls the casinos of the Tower Inn & Suites in San Rafael and the Malargüe Inn & Suites, in addition to managing the General Alvear room of the Casino de Mendoza, allied with Impresora Internacional de Valores (Ivisa).

Another interested party in venturing into this modality is Fuente Mayor, owned by the Kristich business group that operates the Tunuyán casinos and the San Martín mega-complex. Boldt was linked to, who stands out for having a leading role in gambling in Argentina and who was recently hired to be in charge of the design and printing of the single ballots for the split municipal elections.

The fifth supplier is Codere On Line, the operator of Spanish origin that extended its presence to Italy and several Latin American countries, which will now seek to disembark with online betting in Mendoza hand in hand with Sheraton.
