Detroit Casinos Generate $108.2M in November 2025 Revenue, MGM Grand Leads Market Share

(Detroit).- Detroit’s three casinos generated $108.2M in November 2025 revenue, with MGM Grand leading market share at 47%. Slots and table games drove growth, while sports betting added $1.7M.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board reports that Detroit’s three casinos—MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown—collectively generated $108.2 million in revenue for November 2025.

Table games and slot machines accounted for $106.5 million of the monthly total, while retail sports betting contributed $1.7 million.

  • MotorCity Casino: 30%
  • Hollywood Casino at Greektown: 23%


Table Games and Slot Machine Revenue
Revenue from table games and slots increased by 0.1% compared with November 2024 and 0.5% from October 2025. From January 1 through November 30, combined table games and slots revenue was down 1.0% year-over-year.

Casino-specific revenues compared to November 2024 were:

  • MGM Grand Detroit: $50.7 million, up 3.0%
  • MotorCity Casino: $31.4 million, down 5.0%
  • Hollywood Casino at Greektown: $24.4 million, up 1.0%

The three casinos paid $8.63 million in state gaming taxes in November 2025, up from $8.62 million in November 2024. They also submitted $13.2 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit.

Retail Sports Betting Revenue
In November 2025, the casinos reported a combined retail sports betting handle of $14.4 million, generating $1.7 million in total gross receipts. Qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) from retail sports betting decreased by 10.8% from November 2024 but increased by 10.8% from October 2025.

  • MGM Grand Detroit: $587,294
  • MotorCity Casino: $565,718
  • Hollywood Casino at Greektown: $554,751

The casinos paid $64,553 in state taxes from retail sports betting revenue and submitted $78,899 in wagering taxes to the City of Detroit.

Fantasy Contests
Fantasy contest operators reported $921,446 in adjusted revenues for October 2025 and paid $77,401 in taxes.
