The first contribution of 5 million reais has already been paid to Lottopar, thus guaranteeing BETPR the right to operate sports betting in Paraná for five years, which may be renewed for another five and so on, provided the company makes a new payment. of grant. Once the accreditation process is complete and operations begin, part of the funds raised by lottery operations will be used for social programs and actions.

Platform integration

In order for authorized companies to start operating effectively, they must be integrated into Lottopar's management, control and payment platform. In this way, from the first day of activity, the local authority can control the operations of accredited companies, verifying, for example, the number of bets, the amount of funds that circulate in the sports betting environment and if they are being complying with all the regulations, such as alerting them to suspicious or atypical bets, for example, thus avoiding money laundering and currency evasion. In addition, to provide greater transparency and integrity to sports betting operations, at any time the control authorities may request reports from Lottopar through the platform, guaranteeing inspection and that all regulations are being complied with. This supervision through the platform will take place 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without interruption, in an operations control room in Lottopar.

Start of operations

Throughout the month of September, progress will be made in the accreditation process of the betting companies, since the analysis of the documentation of the rest of the companies will be completed. After this analysis and the signing of the contract between Lottopar and the accredited operators, the betting companies will be simultaneously authorized, legalized and regulated to start operating throughout Paraná.
