Macau saw seven new hotels open in 2023 with seven more under construction

(Macau).- Macau saw seven new hotels open in 2023, providing a total of 1,792 rooms and 1,096 parking space, according to data from the Macau Land and Works Bureau.
There were also another seven hotels under construction as of 4Q23, which are expected to provide another 3,105 hotel rooms in the future across 142,325 square meters of space.
While the Bureau did not name the hotels still being developed, it stated that two of these are located in Cotai and are expected to provide a combined 2,808 rooms, while the other five are located on the Macau Peninsula and will provide a total of 297 rooms.
The seven hotels completed last year provided 1,792 rooms covering an area of 156,747 square meters. The Bureau noted that one of these was located on the Cotai Strip, providing 903 rooms.
As reported by Inside Asian Gaming, there were a number of new hotel openings linked with Macau integrated resorts in 2023, including Andaz Macau and Raffles Galaxy Macau as part of Galaxy Macau Phase 3, and W Hotel at Studio City Phase 2.
YOHO Treasure Island Resorts World Hotel on the Macau Peninsula also held a soft opening in August before officially opening its doors on 26 January this year.
