Maryland casinos win $163M in February

(Maryland).- Maryland’s six Las Vegas-style casinos combined to generate $162.96 million in gaming revenue during February 2022, according to figures released by the state. The total was an increase of $36.75 million (29.1%) compared to February 2021, when the casinos were operating under capacity restrictions due to the pandemic.

Maryland casinos win $163M in February

Casino gaming tax contributions to the state in February 2022 were $68.23 million, an increase of $15.04 million (26.4%) compared to February 2021.
Maryland casinos, like their counterparts around the country, continue to recover from the COVID-19 shutdown. The casinos won a record $1.922 billion in 2021, up 56.8% compared to the revenues during virus-stricken 2020.

Maryland played a role in a banner calendar year for U.S. commercial casinos.

Last year was a record-breaking one for the nationwide casino industry. According to the American Gaming Association, 2021 set a new record as the highest-grossing year ever for the U.S. commercial gaming industry, reaching $53 billion in revenue.

$65.83 million in February 2022, an increase of $15 million (29.5%) from February 2021

Live! Casino & Hotel (3,717 slot machines, 187 table games) $59.43 million in February 2022, an increase of $14.46 million (32.2%) from February 2021

Horseshoe Casino (1,451 slots, 145 table games)
$17.71 million in February 2022, an increase of $3.40 million (23.8%) from February 2021

Hollywood Casino (714 slot machines, 18 table games)
$7.86 million in February 2022, an increase of $1.57 million (24.9%) from February 2021

Ocean Downs Casino (823 slot machines, 18 table games) $6.59 million in February 2022, an increase of $787,000 (13.6%) from February 2021

Rocky Gap Casino (625 slot machines, 16 table games)
$5.51 million in February 2022, an increase of $1.52 million (38.2%) from February 2021
