(Nuevo Leon).- According to experts, if someone has strictly complied with the health protocols to prevent Covid-19, it is the casinos in Nuevo León, as they have applied everything that not only state but federal authorities have asked of them.

Mexico: Betting houses in Nuevo Leon ask state government to let them open

Despite this, the state authority keeps them closed. Given this, representatives of this industry as well as specialists call for them to be evaluated and given permission to open, complying with certain restrictions.

And the most palpable example that they are safe, they pointed out, is that in this turn we have never been presented with agglomerations like other places. "In the casinos there were no complaints, no infected person, why? Because if someone followed the protocols that the federal government and the local government established, it was the casinos.

"We are also willing to have an opening as it was being handled, that a day was rested or a schedule was restricted, we are open to the authority, either the Ministry of Labor or the Ministry of Health, go and see that it is a place safe ", affirmed the expert in the subject of security in facilities, Juan Carlos de la Fuente.

And he added that the protocols legally comply with the regulations and are safe, since the client feels security from the moment he enters the place.
As part of the protocols, at the entrance to all attendees their temperature is taken, antibacterial gel is provided and there is a sanitizing mat to disinfect their shoes when entering.

Once inside the place, customers keep a healthy distance as there are machines that are disabled and are also disinfected when they are no longer used.
Meanwhile, the manager of the Hollywood casino, José Justino Fernández, agreed that the business structure allows entertainment to be individual, adding that they are maintained with limited capacity and strong security filters.

He added that throughout the place there are disinfection stations and a central hand washing station, in this case when the equipment is finished being used they are automatically blocked so that another person cannot use it before disinfecting them.
Workers most affected by the closure
The closure of the casinos has had an important impact on the entrepreneurs of this line of business and therefore those who work in them, because by not receiving income, it has caused that they do not have money for salaries.

According to the manager of the Hollywood casino, José Justino Fernández, the closure that was decreed in 2021 led them to take strict measures and enter a work stoppage, which has become a difficult situation for employees who must support a family.
And he assured that although it is being suspended, the employees of the casinos are still being paid social security so that assets continue to appear.
