(Mexico).- Although in 2017 casinos were banned, shortly afterwards, in 2018, the obstacles to the gambling industry, which does not stop growing, were eliminated. With the entry into force of the new games of chance laws, Mexico allowed up to 850 casinos to emerge within its borders, of which 206 have already been built. If we add various slot halls, that number exceeds up to 370. In this way, more than 450 casinos can still be erected.

Mexico finalizes details of new casino projects; they will soon open their doors in various strategic points

The latest of these new casinos opened its doors last month in La Chinesca, Mexicali's Chinatown. With the entry into force of the new Mexican gaming law, the state of Tamaulipas joined the dizzying race in the construction of new gaming venues and announced in 2018 that it would build thirty casinos. However, the arrival of the pandemic paralyzed most projects and the gaming industry took a heavy hit with the closure of most physical casinos around the world. However, where most economic sectors saw a threat due to the incidence of Covid-19, the gaming sector saw an interesting business opportunity to expand its market through the digital ecosystem. Today it is possible to play the best casino games from the comfort of your home. The Internet is the gateway for players looking for the best Mexico online gaming sites in order to feel the same thrill and adrenaline rush playing slots or poker as if they were in a physical casino.

The gaming industry in Mexico, on the rise

The gaming sector in Latin America in general and in Mexico in particular has experienced a powerful advance in recent years. More and more headlines offer information about new businesses and associations, the opening of gaming venues, such as the new 3 casinos in Tamaulipas, and the creation of gaming-related jobs. All this indicates the growth of the industry, a mechanism that began its implementation at full speed with the association of Betsson and Big Bola Casinos to launch Betsson Mexico in April of that year. Shortly after, in June of that same year, the launch of bet365 was also announced in Mexico, after a merger between them and the local conglomerate TV Azteca. Another brand, RSI's RushBet in partnership with Mexico's Grupo Multimedios, also made its appearance a month later, in July 2021.

It seems that the list does not stop growing and everything indicates that the flourishing business of the game is here to stay. However, the operation of the machine would not be possible without legislation that endorses it and pays attention to possible fraud that may occur, as well as the important vigilance action to care for and protect the rights of users and operators.
