(Las Vegas).- The Casino Operator Unveils Multi-Project Growth Strategy. The company’s strategy highlights its confidence in the long-term potential of the Las Vegas market.
Red Rock Resorts is gearing up for a significant expansion across Las Vegas, revealing plans for multiple large-scale development projects over the coming months and years.
Strong Focus on Nevada’s Economic Momentum
Steve Cootey, Executive Vice President, CFO, and Treasurer of Red Rock Resorts, emphasized that Nevada remains one of the fastest-growing states in the U.S., ranking third over the past two decades. A steady influx of new residents—many from California with higher incomes and stronger spending power—is expected to boost demand for entertainment and hospitality. Median household income in Clark County is projected to rise 7.1% in the next five years.
Las Vegas’ job market has also seen robust growth, adding around 76,000 jobs in the last three years, outpacing the national average. This economic strength supports Red Rock’s decision to expand despite challenges in online gambling and broader economic uncertainties.
Three Major Projects to Strengthen Las Vegas Footprint
Red Rock currently owns 19 properties across the Las Vegas Valley and plans to enhance its portfolio with three major developments:
Durango Expansion: This $120 million project will add approximately 25,000 square feet of casino space, new food and beverage outlets, upgraded rooms, a parking garage with nearly 2,000 spaces, a high-limit slot room, and a dedicated bar.
Las Vegas Boulevard Project: Covering 123 acres east of I-15 and south of South Point Hotel Casino, this new property remains in the conceptual stage but is a key part of Red Rock’s long-term growth vision.
Henderson Development: Spanning 63 acres in western Henderson’s Ispirada area near the M Resort, this project underscores the company’s commitment to strategic expansion in high-growth areas.
With these developments, Red Rock Resorts aims to reinforce its position as a leading player in the Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industry.
