(Leicester).- Grosvenor Casino is looking to sell its Leicester casino along with the connecting Travel Lodge Hotel for £10.2m.

The casino, which opened in 2014, is located across the ground, first and, second floors of the hotel with a machine floor on the ground level with gaming and slot machines; and a gaming floor at the first level together with a number of bars and a 50 cover restaurant area. The second floor includes a staff rest room, kitchen and preparatory areas, training rooms, and the plant room.
It offers state-of-the-art electronic roulette terminals and slot machines, as well as roulette, blackjack and three-card poker along with four cash poker tables. Leicester Travelodge boasts 95 rooms across four floors, and underwent a £325,000 refurbishment in 2014 as part of a modernization program.
Victor Ktori, head of the Nottingham office at Savills overseeing the sale, said: “The property represents a rare opportunity to acquire a significant piece of city center real estate, immediately adjacent to Highcross Shopping Centre. Initial interest has been strong from a broad range of investors.”
Described by Savills as a ”unique city-center development opportunity,” the venue is located next to the shopping center Highcross, on the A594 Ring Road.

Gaming in Peru
Peru has a strong gambling tradition and modern regulation that has allowed the formal development of the industry, generating significant employment and investment. However, in recent years, the creation of new poorly designed taxes has negatively affected the sustainability of the sector, discouraging investment and encouraging illegal gambling.
