(United States).- Xbox and PlayStation users will be able to play together from the same matchmaking pool. It will be available for testing in late September and will hit live servers in early October.

Cross network play is coming to PUBG

“This has been, hands down, the most requested feature since we launched on consoles and we’re so happy to finally provide this for our console community on Xbox One and PlayStation 4”, Microsoft expressed through a statement written by Cecilia Lee. Fortnite, main rival and king of Battle Royale, provides cross-plattform play and even includes mobile players.

In the statement, Lee explained that this feature will allow 100 players from both console communities to play in the same match, so matchmaking times will be shortened. Finally, the console community has more good news: “Console players will be able to dive into content sooner than ever before as updates will launch within two weeks of their PC counterpart. Starting Aug. 27, PUBG Season 4 will release on console and all-in game content will be aligned across all platforms. All subsequent console updates will then land two weeks after its release on PC”.
