(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Aiste Garneviciene, BetGames.TV COO, granted an interview to SoloAzar about the participation of the company at SIGMA trade show, held in Malta last November. She also made an evaluation of the performance of the firm and anticipated plans for the current year.
What have you presented in SIGMA?
SIGMA is one of the most prestigious, well-established exhibitions in Europe and we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to present on two fronts, namely our new game Speedy 7, which we believe will become an instant favourite throughout the world, as well as presenting ourselves as an innovative, creative, adaptable and cutting edge. We are proud of our uniqueness in a sometimes-stagnant industry, and we use forums such as SIGMA to re-enforce the company’s pioneering mentality. When I say stagnant, I mean that often a product is rehashed, and we see the same game across multiple platforms. BetGames.TV recognizes the need for adaption and growth in a dynamic, fluid space. Our new game Speedy 7, which we proudly presented at the Exhibition is proof of our willingness to lead to the marketplace. The new game is based on our live dealer broadcast concept, with players having to select whether a card will be red or black, with jackpot wins for successive correct predictions. The simplicity of a game, combined with excellent win opportunities, is a trend we are seeing take off in the iGaming sector, as the player has evolved over the past few years. The beauty of Speedy 7 is that the rules can be explained in one sentence and this factors into rapid global expansion. The consumer wants instant access to a game as well as originality and combining the two is a fine balancing act. The game encapsulates our unique yet efficient approach to the modern consumer, and that is what we presented at SIGMA.
How do you see the current edition of SIGMA?
SIGMA is successfully expanding every year and therefore it was not surprising to see that the current edition was even bigger and louder than last year and the biggest since its very first edition 6 yrs ago. It is always satisfying to see familiar faces and get to know new people in the industry. It felt like everyone from the igaming business has arrived to Malta! There were around 400 exhibitors on the hall and endless networking opportunities. BetGamesTV has also arranged their very 1st VIP party to their current and potential clients – which proved to be a great event to be at and received lots of positive feedback afterwards! So we consider SIGMA as a must-to-attend event as it is a perfect closing event of the year before everyone starts preparing for a festive season.
How important is for the company to participate in a show like this?
Malta is a hub for iGaming and so it says everything – if you are operating in Europe, you should definitely be at SIGMA – with or without a stand but simply be there and feel the pulse of it. BetGamesTV has a solid number of clients holding MGA license and therefore it is another important reason for us to be there since it is a significant part of our business.
How do you evaluate the year for the company?
2019 has been one of the most exciting years in the company’s history with many highlights. From a product perspective we have optimized two games, Dice Duel and Wheel of Fortune and recently launched our new product Speedy 7, which is already showing excellent results. We have travelled the world, engaging at almost every possible forum including the successful SIGMA Exhibition. We have had several stands at top-class events across the globe… and the reception we have received has been extremely positive. We have had the privilege to be nominated for a clutch of awards and were fortunate enough to win the SBC Award for the ‘Rising Star in Innovation’ category in early December. It is amazing to be recognized by our peers, and we are grateful for the recognition. While we take immense pride in our achievements, we know that we can never rest on our laurels as technology moves so quickly, and player evolutions happens almost by the hour. This year has seen us focus on conceptualization, stakeholder engagement, revenue growth and global expansion. We have lofty dreams and we know that if we keep this momentum up, 2020 will be even better. We have spent plenty of time and energy in growing our emerging markets in Africa, Latam and Asia, which are rising giants in the industry. We have grown our operating base to more than 100 countries, including providing a top-class service to 300 of the most well-known betting brands on the market. We are thriving in the land-based retail shop sector and our products are more tech-savvy and mobile friendly than ever before. The growth of BetGames.TV in 2019 can be measured in growth-fuelled economics, brand awareness, market expansion, industry recognition and a commitment to enhancing the iGaming sector on all fronts.
What are the goals of the company for 2020?
We are definitely going to introduce new edgy and unrepetitive games to the industry within year 2020. Moreover, many new features and functionalities will be released to meet the needs of different players in different markets. All industries are the same including gambling where end-user is a king! Players get what they are looking for from suppliers via operators. And this is what we at BetGames are mostly focused on! Furthermore, we plan to take our product to new markets and increase awareness of our brand in the current markets - so everyone around the globe is able to enjoy the unique content of ours!
How do you see the evolution of the player? Does your firm accompany it?
The evolution of the player is one of the most key aspects we factor in every year as without dynamics of the end-user we will not get very far in reaching our targets, imprinting our vision and achieving continued and sustained success. We have a strong analytic team that focusses on the evolution of the player, as with everything in life adaption and change is the key to survival and to flourish in any sector. We follow trends, study data and spend many hours conceptualizing, developing and testing all our products, on a continual basis. The nature of the tech-savvy industry is based on fluid change, and while the core elements of iGaming stay in place the products, efficiency, originality and innovation are factors that are in our control to change.
The fact that we optimized two games in 2019, Dice Duel and Wheel of Fortune is a testament to constant evolution, while our new game Speedy 7 is based specifically on the target market, providing space for rapid growth in a fluctuating environment. Many iGaming platforms tend to stick to tried and tested formula and while we proscribe to offering favourite products the nature of the game means we must adapt, increasing speed, efficiency, entertainment, revenue and win opportunities.
We have broadened our global outreach, and as is an economic reality, regions differ and as such player evolution is at different junctures per area. For example, the growth of a player in Africa and Asia is slightly different to that of Europe and the Americas, and we factor in all these variables when planning. We have an exciting new product in beta testing, a variant on poker that further illustrates our belief in evolution of gameplay.
