Altenar to Highlight Sportsbook Innovations at Finnish iGaming Conference

Leading sportsbook provider Altenar will attend Finnish iGaming Conference, taking place in Helsinki on 10–11 September 2026.

The event comes at a pivotal moment for the Finnish gaming industry. Under the country’s new Gambling Act, the online betting and casino market will open to competition, with the first licences entering into force on 1 July 2027.

With Finland moving from a monopoly model to a competitive licensing system, operators will need technology partners that can combine sportsbook performance with flexibility, localisation and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.

Altenar has maintained a long-standing presence in the Finnish iGaming ecosystem, showcasing its innovations in sportsbook technology, including a partnership with Finnplay spanning more than seven years. The relationship reflects Altenar’s experience supporting technology-led businesses in the region while continuing to develop its sportsbook offering for evolving market requirements.

Statements by Altenar

Alejandro Cazorla, Sales Director at Altenar, said:

“Finland is a market we have followed closely for many years, and its move towards a licensing model represents a significant new chapter for the local iGaming industry. The opportunity is particularly exciting as operators prepare for the 2027 opening, but entering a newly regulated market also requires a very high level of compliance readiness.

At Altenar, we are well prepared from a compliance and technology perspective, and we look forward to supporting operators that want to establish a strong position in Finland from day one.”

Finnish iGaming Events

Finnish iGaming Events will bring together operators, suppliers, regulators and industry experts to discuss the country’s new Gambling Act, licensing model, technical regulation, payments, customer identification, AI and the future of Finnish iGaming.

Altenar will use the event as an opportunity to meet with industry stakeholders and discuss how its sportsbook technology can help operators prepare for Finland’s regulated market and build a competitive offering for Finnish players.

Book a meeting with the Altenar team at Finnish iGaming Events to discuss market entry, sportsbook technology and opportunities ahead of Finland’s 2027 licensing launch.
