(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- With SBC Summit Barcelona over for another year, we caught up with Atlas-IAC’s Chief Sales Officer, Miloslav Ivanov, about how the event went for the sportsbook and how the Spanish market compares to other European markets.

How was your experience at this edition of the SBC Summit Barcelona?

It was an incredible event! We were very happy that we were able to attend one of the biggest expos in the calendar and our team were able to meet with all our partners, old and new. The exhibition itself was great, it was well organized and packed full of delegates from all over the world. Overall, I am glad that we were able to boost our presence at what will no doubt prove to be one of 2023’s most exciting fixtures.

Could you give a brief summary of your participation in the event, in terms of the products exhibited that most attracted the attention of the public, the conferences you attended, and if you were nominated for any awards?

Showcasing our award-winning products was key for us. We were able to exhibit our whole portfolio, including our white label solution, turnkey and of course our renowned fully automated sportsbook that can seamlessly be integrated within a few days.

Regarding what we were able to show to future and existing partners, we are working hard on making sure that the platform we offer is one of the best in the industry - with a complete automatization of margins, delays and limits on any event at any given time, sports betting management has never been easier and more personalized. The efficiency savings we deliver for our partners via risk management along with a great performance of the platform really sets us apart from the competition.

In terms of the conference’s panel discussions, these were well received and there were some very interesting topics throughout the week. I was part of a discussion around lottery style products integrated into sportsbooks, which was fascinating. Both of these are traditionally separate but can align with each other, with Africa being a flagship of success for this.

On that subject – and without question - Africa is no doubt going to be one of the most exciting growth regions for Atlas-IAC. We want to expand across the region and the combination of lottery and sportsbook is very enticing and something that could happen in the future, which I believe will provide a formula for success.

On awards – we were nominated for Rising Star in Sports Betting Innovation for the SBC Awards, and it’s always a pleasure to be given recognition from industry experts from around the globe.

What new opportunities did Atlas-IAC find within the Spanish market?

The Spanish market is one of the best and most unique markets in Europe. I have a lot of personal experience working with different operators there and I was lucky enough to make plenty of friends that we will no doubt be able to support soon enough.

The market in Spain is fast growing and despite the heavy regulatory environment for operators, you can position yourself incredibly well and are able to promote portfolios freely. Both retail and online have excellent potential within the region and this is one of the key reasons why we were at the show – to have partners looking to expand together, especially when it comes to retail.

I certainly believe the Spanish market is a very good fit for Atlas-IAC, so watch this space!

What were the trend(s) in the Spanish or European iGaming market and what does this mean for Atlas-IAC?

Both the Spanish and European iGaming markets have plenty of obstacles to overcome, but also plenty of opportunities with both regions very competitive and well regulated.

Recently, we’re seeing brands from outside of Europe looking to expand within the continent. As there are still a lot of moving parts, it requires a large adaptation curve and it makes it incredibly interesting given the competition on show.

One thing I can reveal is we are in the process of preparing for our debut in Romania, which is very exciting for us. The Balkan region is definitely one of Europe’s biggest growth opportunities currently and we’re really well positioned to capitalize on this growth.

When looking at the competition as a whole, our market-leading automation-based systems dramatically reduce costs and boost operator margins. Given we have some of the best risk management tools on the market, this gives us a real edge over our competitors and we have to use that to our advantage. Add in the fact that our platform is ultra-reliable too – and this only increases Atlas-IAC’s standing.

What are the future plans of the firm for the rest of the year, and what are the upcoming shows you will be attending?

It is only a month until SiGMA Europe, which is going to be a big part of our plans and we are really excited to showcase all of our products to attendees at the event in November and get our partners to really understand our product.

Looking further into the future, we are looking to expand into Africa and LatAm, and once we have received our Romanian licence, you will see Atlas-IAC firmly positioned in the Balkans.

The future is definitely bright for Atlas-IAC!
