The industry is always evolving, looking for ways to provide a better gaming experience while ensuring global regulations are met. Gaming Americas hosts a series of virtual meetups to discuss how the industry is changing and Fernando Garita of leading Latin American gaming operator Betcris will participate in one of the important topics when the next Quarterly Meetup is held on January 28.

Garita, the Head of Business Development at Betcris, will be a panelist for the “Debate: Is Latin America learning from the European mistakes?” discussion taking place next week. The seminar will be moderated by Betmotion Brazil Country Manager Angelo Alberoni and will also see participation by the chief policy officer at Playtech, Francesco Rodano. As Latin America’s gambling industry is only now beginning to take shape, the panel will discuss how it is unfolding and what is expected moving forward.

Garita and Betcris CEO JD Duarte, as well as the rest of the company, have been fundamental in defining how sports gambling and other forms of gaming operate in Latin America.

Faced with different laws and regulations that vary from country to country, Betcris has worked tirelessly at helping implement a regional gaming strategy that could be applied to all of Latin America. It has also been instrumental in developing protocols and policies that ensure greater integrity among operators, as well as sports organizations.

As gaming becomes more prominent on the global stage, the meetup will also explore how the gambling industry is interacting with stock exchanges, as well as the interaction between land-based and virtual operations.
