Betting on Sports America - Digital unveils gold standard speaker lineup

The agenda for the virtual event on December 1 & 2, 2020 covers the industry’s key issues, including regulation, trading, marketing, problem gambling, and investment, and organizer SBC has secured a speaker roster featuring renowned experts on each topic.

Among the many highlights of the lineup are the CEOs slated to take part in keynote interviews. They include Joe Asher from William Hill U.S., Bill Hornbuckle of MGM Resorts, John Levy with theScore, and Derek Stevens of Circa Sports.

The valuable input from CEOs of major players will continue throughout the conference, with BetMGM’s Adam Greenblatt, FOXBet’s Kip Levin, Rush Street Gaming’s Greg Carlin, Triggy’s Martina Akerlund, GAN’s Dermot Smurfit, Oddsium’s Todd Kobrin, FSB Tech’s Dave McDowell, Ball Street Trading’s Scott Emeterio, and David Wang of Bet.Works all participating.

SBC’s CEO & Founder, Rasmus Sojmark, said: “The depth of the speaker lineup is an illustration of how much progress the sports betting industry in North America has made in the past 18 months.

“There’s still vast potential for the market in the U.S. and no-one is better positioned to offer insights into how to make the most of those opportunities than our speakers. Their combined expertise is one of the main reasons Betting on Sports America - Digital has quickly become the gold standard event for industry.”

In addition to the unrivalled selection of CEOs speaking, the roster features a host of experts from different sectors of the sports betting industry.

There is a strong representation from operators, including Jeffrey Gural (Chairman, American Racing and Entertainment), Carolyn Renzin (VP Legal, Regulatory & Compliance, FanDuel), Chrissy Thurmond (Director of Responsible Gaming, DraftKings), Martin Lycka (SVP of US Regulatory Affairs & Responsible Gambling, GVC), Kresimir Spajic (SVP of Online Gaming, Hard Rock International), Art Manteris (VP Sports and Race Operations, Station Casinos), Jennifer Roberts (General Counsel, Wynn Sports Interactive), and Geoff Reiss (General Manager, Yahoo Sports).

Delegates will also hear from a group crucial to the future of those sports betting operators and the wider industry - regulators. Those taking part in a number of key conference sessions include New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement Director David Rebuck, Nevada Gaming Commission Board Member Phil Katsaros, and Colorado Department of Revenue’s Matthew Heap, who leads the state’s sports betting efforts.

State lotteries, another vital part of the evolving U.S. gambling ecosystem, are also well represented. May Scheve (Executive Director, Missouri Lottery), Rebecca Hargrove (President & CEO, Tennessee Lottery), Beth Bresnahan (Executive Director, DC Lottery), Vernon Kirk (Director, Delaware Lottery), and Charles McIntyre (Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery) are among the expert speakers.

Rounding out the roster are speakers from leading media companies, major affiliates, banks, payments providers, trade associations, suppliers, and industry specialist consultants and advisors. High-profile organizations represented include ESPN, CNBC, Better Collective, Catena Media, Gambling.com Group, Truist Securities, MVB Financial Corp, VISA, Paynearme, the American Gaming Association, Sportradar, IGT, VIXIO, Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, Jefferies, GLI, Fantini Research, and The Innovation Group.

In addition to the conference, Betting on Sports America - Digital will also feature an interactive product display area where operators will be able to learn about the next generation of products and solutions from international suppliers, talk to suppliers’ expert teams, and experience the products directly through demos.

There will be further opportunities for delegates to connect and build their network in the burgeoning U.S. betting industry in the virtual networking lounge, the meeting rooms in the virtual networking bar, and at the program of themed networking roundtables.
