"At Push Gaming our main focus is always about the games. The product team is quite small but we are a kind of managers of the products in some cases. So we are everything from  project managers in some senses, so we can be working with every different part of the development teams, like developers, artists, animators and mathematicians, but we also take roles like this, so we present games to people from other companies, journalists, operators or casinos," said Woolhouse.

Land of Zenith is a 6×4 video slot which includes 30 paylines that will take players on a journey through the sky to discover advanced technology and reveal 'exquisite' treasures. "It is a story of sky pirates and villains and the main inspiration is on the floating reals from Gulliver's Travels," added Woolhouse.

"It comes to my mind the math's consideration, so during the base game feature, which we call the bouncing mystery feature, we wanted to, as well as mystery symbols are reels, we wanted to find ways to multiply symbols again and add a multiply maybe, so we can have it continuously enhanced," Woolhouse said.

"We really put the colors in some cases to highlight the viable symbols, so the role of colors in the game is to inspiry the players on what they see, so we wanted to create a visual distinction between the low payers, the mid payers and the high payers. So we wanted players to distinguish the special symbols like the ones you see in scatters in the game...Mainly is to help players to really see where the value is in the symbols and what they wanna see in the full screen."

Characters and setting

"Land of Zenith is a new slot from Push Gaming that's set in a Steampunk world," affirmed Woolhouse.

The setting is the bridge of an airship, floating above a futuristic city in the clouds. Planet and star-shaped jewels appear on the reels, along with a crew of Steampunk-style characters. A bronze-effect mechanism to the side of the reels unlocks bonus features when special Turner symbols line up the different parts of the machine. If 3 sections of the machine align in the right way, they release a glowing orb in the middle of the reels. In a Bouncing Mystery feature, the orb moves around the reels, and can leave multiple mystery symbol positions behind. These all transform into the same random symbol at the end.

"We give the players a pre-set amount of time to free spins, so, as long as you have time, you are going to keep spinning, and what we are looking here is landing wide symbols which resets the time back to 10 seconds, so, as long as you keep setting wilds, you are going to keep spinning. The niche thing is that every time you keep spinning, the reel is going to get a little bit faster, accelerating the reel sets," he affirmed.
