CasinoBeats Malta Digital: W2 Global: Harmony on compliance
⏱ 1 min read
(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Yesterday, it was held the talk W2 Global: Harmony on compliance, within CasinoBeats Malta Digital. "Harmonization compliance will undubtfully bw the key, said the moderator of the talk, Peter Murray.
2019 financial reports underlined operators’ increased costs and resources adjusting to compliance enforcement across all markets. As the industry spends ever more safeguarding its operations, how will compliance impact the development of operator frameworks?
Facing enhanced regulatory burden across established and emerging markets, has compliance become the dominant tech discipline and can harmony be secured across operational teams adjusting to new values?
Some of these issues were treated at the talk. Speakers were: Warren Russell, CEO, W2 Global, Steven Armstrong, Group Director of AML, William Hill, Paul Williams, Group Director of Compliance and legal Pariplay, Russell Wilkinson, Business Consultant, Pay360 by Capita. Peter Murray, Head of Global Sales, W2, was in charge of the moderation of the group.
Peter Murray:"Harmonization compliance will undobtfully be the key," he said, and asked panelists what are their views on the matter.
Warren Russell: "Everyone is trying to have a USP (unique selling point). In marketing you want people to have choices, and the same happens with the regulation. You want people to be protected. I think we need more clever actions and to simplify things for the supplier and the regulator."
Steven Armstrong also agrees that regulation is needed in an internal perspective as well. "We are working hard to harmonize the different channels where we can, and the process is difficult in terms of regulations." He added that it would also be better for all the peers, if operators worked together on harmonizing the process of verifying customers.
