(Brazil).- It is with pleasure that we share with the industry the reconfirmation of the participation of Deputy Marcus Vinicius, who will be present at our event on both days. We will have the opportunity to speak with him and hear firsthand the latest news of his position and that of his colleagues.

Deputy Marcus Vinícius confirms his presence at CGS Brasil 2023

As an advance, he leaves us the following reflections:

1 - The regulation of igaming in Brazil comes late, but its action is no less important or necessary. We are facing a new economic sector, which is growing, generating jobs, income and opportunities all over the world. Here it cannot be different.

2 - Studies carried out by entities and governments point to the possibility of generating up to 600 thousand jobs after a few years after fully regular operation, as well as an addition of up to R$ 15 billion in public revenues; resources that can be used in essential areas such as health and safety.

3 - We understand that the provisional measure of the Brazilian government can be improved. As a first point of review that is necessary is the reduction of taxation to the sector. When dealing with electronic operations, if taxation is high, there may be reductions in premiums and competition with the international online market may not be successful. We also understand that the resources obtained from taxation must be shared with states and municipalities. Because the effects of this new economy and its impacts will be visualized in the communities and not in a federative legal fiction, which is the Union. Finally, it is necessary to better calibrate the rules that concern the integrity of the game. Because we identified the applied prohibitions that can invalidate some activities and operations made from one state to another.
