(Macau, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Suren Khachatryan, Digitain CCO, granted an interview to SoloAzar to talk about the next G2E Asia, in which it will present its portfolio of products. He also talked about the goals for the rest of the year, shows in which it will be present and about the evolution of the players.

Digitain to bring its main products to G2E Asia

What products will you bring to G2E Asia?
Digitain’s signature sportsbook will be in the vanguard will be leading the charge of propelling sports betting into a new era in Asia. Our unique software already caters to a ramping portfolio of operators across the globe. It provides an intuitive multi-lingual, multi-currency, customizable interface that can be easily integrated, using unique APIs, with new or existing platforms, whether you are an online or land-based operator. At last count, our platform partnerships number in excess of 100 operators, and it’s the job of our sales force to extend that trend as regulation rolls out from India to more established markets in south east Asia. We’re well ahead of where many commentators expected across a patchwork quilt of player tastes and varying regulation. We can’t wait to get to G2E Asia Philippines and meet new partners and old friends in Manila.

With what expectations are you arriving in G2E Asia and what are the goals?
G2E Asia Philippines presents an ideal venue at which to debate the merits and let good ideas win at a pivotal time for the industry as a whole. Whatever the conundrum: emerging territories and cultural taste, partitioned regulation, player engagement, acquisition and bonusing alternatives, social media marketing, post-event retention strategy… all these questions need answers. So it will be fantastic to swap thoughts on broad plans and specific innovations with other industry leaders, in order that we might converge on the wisest road forward, with Manila providing the perfect lens through which to distil details of every colour. For me, though, the overarching question is: will Asia create its own watershed PASPA moment for sportsbook? Comparisons to the U.S. may at first seem facile. However, the truth is that this patchwork Asian quilt of taste and regulation (not to mention competing tax bands which could inherently price any greedy regions out of the market, or send their players to off-shore illegals) is very reminiscent of what’s slowly but surely unfolding stateside in sports betting. Happily, Digitain has experienced substantial growth in several international markets over the past 12 months. Strategically, in order to accommodate this expansion, we have been opening sales and business development offices in four core areas, including the Philippines. These offices shall locally service existing clients and partner needs as well as increasing our inquiry pipeline.

What are the goals of the company from now until the end of the year?
Even though it’s been a career year for Digitain, we’re keen not to never rest on our laurels and make every stop on the summit circuit count. The Philippines has been one of the top-performing gaming jurisdictions is recent history and I can only see that trend extending, despite tough regional competition, as the best local operators also bid to broaden their combined sphere of influence. Elsewhere, we’re naturally well into the annual retrospectives of the awards season and after four separate awards wins for excellence at the CEEGC, EGR, RGW and Starlet Awards 2019, we’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for three further gongs (including Sportsbook Supplier of the Year) at the upcoming SBC Awards. It gives us the opportunity to be showcased in front of all our industry peers, and promises to be a fantastic evening at Evolution London on 3rd December in London. It’s a fitting validation of all the hard work put in by our wider talented team at Digitain, not to mention our burgeoning band of innovative and progressive partners. It should be a fantastic way to round out 2019 in style!

Will you be present at other shows?
As I say, it’s been a busy year jetting around the world, but on the plus side our company’s air miles account is also in rude health! Before G2E Asia Philippines, which rounds out 2019, we’ll be at BEGE (the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo) and SAGSE (the South American Gaming Suppliers Expo) in late November, alongside SiGMA’s igaming fair in Malta which continues to go from strength to strength.

How does the growth of the firm accompany the evolution of the players?
The overall growth of the igaming industry remains incredibly encouraging, especially in these growth markets, and the international advance of sportsbook continues unchecked in most developing countries. That said, innovation remains the watchword, both in the markets you offer and the tools with which you allow your clients to engage. Staying positively demarcated from the competition is crucial, and that’s what Digitain does best with our ever-evolving product portfolio always incorporating new features like BetGenerator (an AI engine for automatically curating multibets that scale with a player’s unique profile and appetite for risk) or our latest RNG from ID Quantique which raises the bar for provable randomness, reliability and ease of integration. Quality products like these afford us the necessary certifications with which to allow our partners to broaden their scope into any international market with confidence.
