EAG 2023 to feature first Safer Gambling Hub for low stake land-based sector
⏱ 2 min read
(London).- EAG organisers have selected UK’s Safer Gambling Week to confirm details of the first Land-Based Low Stake Safer Gambling Hub which will be launched at the 2023 show (10th–12th January ExCeL Exhibition Centre).
The Hub, which is being developed in partnership with EAG owner bacta, will feature leading not for profit organisations including BetKnowmore, Breakeven, ESG Gaming, GamStop, GamCare and YGAM.
Nicola Lazenby, who became EAG Director in September and has two decades of experience working in exhibitions and events including two-years spent on ATEI, said: “The Safer Gambling Hub will represent a ‘go-to’ at-show feature for everyone wanting to learn more about the latest thinking in safer gambling and meet with some of the leading authorities in the space.
“All of the organisations that we have contacted have accepted the invitation to be part of the show floor feature and I am confident the Hub will be a focus for learning and debate which represent corner stones of what a sector-leading exhibition such as EAG should deliver.”
Heralding what is a first for EAG, bacta CEO John White added: “For a number of years we have gifted space to safer gambling organisations participating in EAG but this will be the first occasion that we have brought everyone together in a dedicated Hub.
“Bacta members and the land-based industry in general continue to make huge advances in delivering a safer gambling experience and helping to reduce the proportion of consumers experiencing problems to their current record low levels.
“The low-stake Hub is part of bacta’s unequivocal commitment to safer gambling and complements the work being undertaken by our Social Responsibility Committee, chaired by Novomatic UK’s Elizabeth Speed and November’s Social Responsibility Exchange which provides members with an opportunity to share best practice tactics and strategies.”
“Safer Gambling is at the forefront of what bacta members do on a daily basis and I am delighted that it will also be centre stage at EAG.”
