(Sofía).- EGT Digital has been recognized with a certificate for its contribution to innovation and enhancing competitiveness in Bulgaria.
The award was presented by the “Prof. Dr. Borislav Borisov” Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). In the “Industrial Property” category, the company ranked among the top 10 legal entities with the highest number of applications submitted between 2020 and 2024.
The award was handed to the CEO of EGT Digital, Mr. Vladimir Dokov, during the official presentation of the first-ever National Intellectual Property Map of the Republic of Bulgaria. Among the official guests at the event were the President of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, the President of the Patent Office, Eng. Olya Dimitrova, the Rector of UNWE, Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov, and other representatives of government institutions.
“At EGT Digital, we believe that progress happens when we make systematic efforts, build capacity, and create a culture that generates ideas. That’s why it is a pleasure to receive these awards for our contribution to innovation and competitiveness in Bulgaria for the 2020–2024 period,” said Vladimir Dokov after the official event.
The project was implemented by UNWE through the Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Patent Office, the National Statistical Institute (NSI), and representative organizations of local government in Bulgaria.
The map represents the first national study analyzing intellectual property down to the municipal level using 23 indicators. It aims to serve as a strategic management tool for defining national development priorities.
This recognition is yet another testament that innovation lies at the core of EGT Digital’s sustainable growth and success. The company continues to affirm its position as a leading player in Bulgaria’s tech sector through its constant pursuit of development, creativity, and the implementation of new solutions.
