Experts in money laundering prevention and lottery security met in Mexico to share experiences and solutions

(Mexico City).- It was held the seminar "Prevention of Money Laundering and Security: challenges and solutions", organized jointly by the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Gambling (Cibelae), the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the National Lottery of Mexico (Lotenal), in the halls of the Barceló México Reforma hotel, in Mexico City.
After the welcome lunch, the general director of the National Lottery of Mexico, Margarita González Saravia, welcomed the seminar participants. Subsequently, the president of Cibelae, Javier Milián, inaugurated the seminar.
Among those present were authorities, representatives and officials of Latin American lotteries, such as the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Institute of Financial Aid for Social Action of Entre Ríos -on behalf of the Association of Argentine State Lotteries -, the National Commission of Games of Chance of Paraguay (CONAJZAR), CAIXA Lotteries (Brazil), the Pediatric Foundation (Guatemala), the National Beneficenca Lottery (El Salvador), the Concepción Lottery (Chile), Electronic Lotteries of Honduras , La Banca (Uruguay), Grupo Social ONCE (Spain) and an important delegation of the National Lottery of Mexico.
Likewise, the seminar had the participation of experts in the topic of Prevention of Asset Laundering and Security in lotteries. The members of the technical commissions of Cibelae (Laundering Prevention and Security) were responsible for the organization and coordination of the contents, exposing different works carried out and case studies. In addition, leading companies in the industry such as Gaming Labs International (GLI), IGT and Scientific Games (SG) - all of them Platinum members of Cibelae - accompanied the seminar with speakers with extensive experience.
Diego González Quinteros, manager of La Banca and member of the Security and Risk Committee of the WLA, spoke about the technical standard of security certification of that association. For their part, the Concepción Lottery and the Mexican National Lottery presented their experiences on security issues.
The seminar held in Mexico City seeks to continue strengthening international cooperation in the prevention of money laundering and security in lotteries. Cibelae, the WLA and the Lottery National Lottery of Mexico thank the participants and speakers for their contribution to this important event.
