(Fort Lauderdale, FL).- In North America’s tightly regulated gaming market, operators are balancing the push for faster payments, AI-driven personalization, and crypto innovation with growing scrutiny around compliance, security, and player protection.
The North America Payments & Tech track at SBC Summit Americas will examine how operators are responding, from improving the customer journey through new payment transactions to using AI and stablecoins to modernise operations.
The track will open with Tech Leaders: How Tech Leaders are using AI to Engage Customers, Transform Operations, and Shape the Industry, bringing together senior tech leaders to discuss how AI, real-time risk scoring, and scalable infrastructure are being used to drive performance while maintaining compliance. Cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and data-driven player engagement will also feature as key priorities.
Speakers to participate at the conference
Speakers Macario Gallegos (SVP & Chief Information Officer, Seminole Hard Rock), Emily Haruko Leeb (Co-Founder & CEO, Saroca), Owen Monagan (CEO, LayUp), and Dan Pinto (CEO & Co-Founder, Fingerprint) will outline where they are investing and which technologies are delivering a competitive edge.
Payments will take centre stage in Emerging Payment Methods: Biometrics, BNPL, Open Banking & More, where experts will examine how innovations such as biometrics, open banking, and digital wallets are reshaping the player experience, while raising new challenges around compliance, regulation, and player protection.
Matt Brezinski (Director of Gaming, Trustly), Tony Fontaine (Executive Consultant, Independent), Alex Ursa (Head of Gaming, Betr), and Leighton Webb (VP and General Manager, iGaming and Sports Betting, PayNearMe) will discuss how these solutions can be implemented within the complexities of US regulation.
Crypto compliance and regulated stablecoins? will examine whether stablecoins such as USDC can support wider crypto adoption across sports betting and iGaming, offering faster transactions, lower fees, and greater price stability. Speakers Nick Imperillo (Senior Fraud & Risk Expert, GeoComply) and Michelle Martin (Chairman & CEO, Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes Institute) will explore the regulatory barriers across the US and Canada, alongside the role of KYC/AML, crypto-to-fiat conversion, and trusted payment rails in making stablecoins viable within regulated markets.
Also featured on the track, The Future of Payment Personalization: Should Players Choose How They Pay? will examine how operators are tailoring payment experiences through data-driven journeys, from preferred methods to instant payouts and affordability checks, and whether this level of personalization raises concerns around player protection and regulatory scrutiny.
Speakers Sue Page (CEO, North America, Neosurf) and Liron Warhaftig (Vice President Player Journey, Rush Street Interactive) will explore how far personalization can go before it risks crossing the line between convenience and harmful behaviour.
The North America Payments & Tech track is one of several focused on key areas of the region’s gaming market, alongside tracks dedicated to Sports Betting & Casino, Regulation & Compliance, Leadership, and Player Protection. A dedicated breakout stage will also focus on Player Protection and Prediction Markets.
