Gamanza Engage Strengthens Regional Ties at GAT Expo Cartagena 2026
⏱ 4 min read
(Cartagena, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Andrés Blanco, Managing Director of Gamanza Engage, highlighted the company’s successful participation at GAT Expo Cartagena 2026, underscoring the strong business contacts, meaningful conversations, and strategic opportunities that emerged during the event.
Positive Outcomes and Lasting Connections
“Our participation at GAT Expo Cartagena 2026 was very positive. We came away with strong business contacts and several conversations that have real potential, which is something that tends to happen for us in Latin America because it is such a dynamic and fast-growing region for our business,” Andrés Blanco said.
He added that, on the organizational side, Cartagena is always a very comfortable event for the firm. “There is something about the mix of people, the atmosphere, and the familiarity of the audience that makes it easy to have good conversations. We know many of the attendees and organizers, so the event feels productive, but also very natural. One thing we particularly value is the “academy” day. It gives people the chance to attend panels and conferences without feeling they are missing too much time at the stands, and that creates a better rhythm for everyone. We will definitely be back next year.”
Latam’s Growth and Cartagena’s Strategic Role
“Latin America is currently our fastest-growing market, so it plays a very important role in our plans for 2026. It is not only a region with strong commercial potential, but also one where we feel especially connected because one of our main software development hubs is in Latin America as well. That proximity helps us understand the local cultures, the different customer journeys, and the practical realities operators are dealing with in each market.”
Blanco then underlined the positive aspects of Cartagena as a venue for the show. “For us, being in Cartagena matters because Colombia is very well positioned geographically and commercially. It is a natural meeting point between the north and south of the continent, and it brings together operators who are actively looking for better ways to approach responsible engagement, gamification, and retention. Events like this are important because they allow us to stay close to the market, listen carefully, and keep building the right relationships in the right places.”
Gamification and Local Adaptation Driving Engagement in Latin America
He commented that, at the expo, the firm focused on a few areas that are becoming increasingly important for operators in the region. “One of them was how gamification can support responsible gaming and help operators align more closely with regulatory expectations in their local jurisdictions. This can be done in different ways, and we saw genuine interest from both operators and regulators because it moves the conversation beyond engagement for its own sake and toward engagement with more structure and responsibility behind it.
“The other area that received a lot of attention was our ability to adapt gamification experiences to local culture and to the specific customer journeys of each market. That point resonated strongly, because operators in Latin America know that what works in one country does not automatically work in another. The reaction was very encouraging, especially from people who are looking for solutions that are flexible enough to feel locally relevant, rather than generic.”
Networking, key partnerships or contacts and new opportunities
“We have to be a little careful with specifics because several of the conversations are still in the negotiation phase. What we can say is that we returned from Cartagena with advanced discussions involving game aggregators and also two important South American operators that are actively exploring gamification and CRM solutions.
“In addition to that, we also spoke with representatives from another South American industry event who invited us to participate as speakers on the topic of responsible engagement in the coming weeks. So the value of the event was not limited to immediate commercial opportunities. It also helped open doors for thought leadership and for continuing the conversation in other relevant spaces across the region,” he confirmed.
Gamanza Engage: Innovation Roadmap and Strategic Focus on Latin America
Blanco said that this reflects both the company’s upcoming product and technology launches (AI suite, gamification mechanics, new website, market expansion) and the emphasis on Latin America—particularly Colombia—as a central hub for testing and rolling out innovations.
“We have a very active product and technology roadmap this year. In the near term, we will be launching the first part of our AI suite, with a second AI release planned for later in the year. On top of that, we expect to introduce at least four new gamification mechanics, launch our new official website, and make progress into a new iGaming market.”
He concluded: “Latin America, and Colombia in particular, are very much at the center of those plans right now. This is one of the regions where we want to roll out new products alongside existing customers, including a top-tier operator in the Colombian market. That makes the region strategically important not only from a commercial perspective, but also as a place where innovation is being tested, refined, and brought to market in a very practical way.”
