Day One kicked off with opening remarks from the Chairperson, Thomi Papoutzi, Legal & Compliance Advisor, Inverto Consulting, followed by the keynote address by Evangelos Karagrigoriou, Business Consultant/Former Chairman, Hellenic Gaming Commission, which explored updates on the current regulatory environment and future direction of gaming industry in Greece.

The first panel discussion, Moderator, Jakub Kolomičenko ( (Head of Legal Department, Endorphina Ltd.) explored the topic; "Understanding why a regulated Greek online gambling market is an exciting prospect - Opportunity for growth, future trends and challenges". Panellists included David Barrie ( (Managing Director, Inverto Consulting) and Teemu Lehtinen (Business Consultant).

Participants enjoyed a refreshing Networking Tea Break thereafter before joining in on the for following panel discussion, namely "Industry’s next big move - Trends to keep an eye on in 2021 post-COVID world and beyond". This panel was moderated by Vasiliki Panousi , Manager of EU Affairs at European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) and panellists included names such as Dennis Tsalikis (CEO, FSI – Fantasy Sports Interactive), John Kalamvokis (Senior Advisor, Business Development, Kaizen Gaming) and Krister Malm (Founder & Group CEO, Oddsium).

Krister Malm, Founder & Group CEO, Oddsium, stated the following regarding GAME 2021: "A Fantastic opportunity to meet and network with some of the key people of the industry in Europe's most exciting market for the time being."

A highlight of the day was the online panel discussion, namely Getting Ahead of the Game While Keeping Compliant and Responsible, hosted by award-winning law firm Tal Ron, Drihem & Co. - Emily Helmer and Maayan Dana. The two moderators openly discussed with senior executives from the payments, affiliates and gaming operations, why it is not only a challenge but also an opportunity. Panellists included, Assaf Stieglitz (Co-Founder, Odds1x2 and Playwisecasino), Jens Podewski  (CEO and Co-Founder, FinXP), Marius Galdikas (CEO, ConnectPay), Tal Itzhak Ron (Chairman and CEO, Tal Ron, Drihem & Co.) and William Young  (Young, Director of Sales & BizDev, Cryptopay). After highly informative discussions, participants enjoyed a Networking Lunch Break before attending a Presentation by Anastasios Belesis (Senior Lotteries Consultant). After the break Anastatios took the stage with his presentation; “Passive lotteries in the e-gaming era: Tradition through online channels”, followed by another presentation by Stratos Kanakis, Director at Golden Ratio Consulting, is sharing his knowledge with our C-level audience on “The era of the "thinkers" in gaming industry”.

"This is a great opportunity to gather together after a lot of uncertainty, and outs us back to  some certainty. It makes us feel this are going to be normal again", said Anastasios Belesis, Senior Lotteries Consultant.  

The last panel discussion of Day one was moderated by Thanos Marinos, MD Greece at Betsson Group, namely “How to be successful in a newly regulated market”. Panellists included; Anny Tzivanaki (Online Operations Director, INTRALOT),  David Barrie (Managing Director, Inverto Consulting) and Kyriakos Fourniadis (MD South East Europe, Better Collective).
