(Cartagena de Indias).- The fair that will be held on March 15, 16 and 17 in Cartagena, Colombia, will bring together more than a thousand attendees in an expected commercial meeting full of novelties.
Gaming & Technology Expo has included in its extensive academic and networking agenda an International Business and Regulation Roundtable, an event that will take place on Wednesday, March 16, in the afternoon, organized by Fecoljuegos and V&I Legal Consultants.
The moment of economic reactivation that the different gaming verticals are going through, the accelerated pace of digital transformation and the creation of new forms of entertainment and betting, are a challenge for the regulatory bodies of Latin America and the Caribbean. Colombia is at the forefront with a very advanced regulation that Coljuegos has been leading since 2016. Recently, Buenos Aires has issued regulations for online betting and Brazil, the previous month, managed to approve a regulation of the game with general rules that begin the long-awaited process legalization of gambling in the South American giant. The foregoing is sufficient motivation for the implementation of the International Business and Regulation Roundtable at GAT Expo Cartagena 2022.
The call has been attended by legal professionals specialized in the gaming industry who will come to 'La Heroica' from Spain, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The firms that will be part of the conference are: MF Estudio-Abogados from Argentina, Gaming Law SAC from Peru, Portilla, Ruy-Díaz y Aguilar, S.C. from Mexico, FYMSA from Brazil and Loyra Abogados from Spain. The Colombian representation in this Business Roundtable will be in charge of V&I Consultores Legales S.A.S. as general coordinators and Muñoz Tamayo y Asociados.
Between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on March 16 in the Claustro de las Ánimas of the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, where the exhibition will be held at stands of online platforms, the experts will attend, free of charge, the consultations of entrepreneurs on regulatory issues relevant to each of the aforementioned jurisdictions in individual 15-minute meetings. Those interested should request appointments with these first-class legal advisers, most of whom are participating in an event of this nature for the first time within the framework of a trade fair specializing in the gaming industry.
In addition to the consultations that the lawyers will attend, at this same time, the jurists will give short talks on such relevant topics as Responsible Gaming, Regulatory Panorama in Argentina, Peru, Chile and Brazil: Opportunities and challenges, Challenges at the Regulatory Level in Colombia and Spain , How to Sell a Gaming Company in Latin America and Definition of a Policy on Sports Integrity at the Regional Level.
Regarding the dynamics and staging of the International Business and Regulation Roundtable at GAT Expo 2022, the lawyer Tatiana Vásquez Pastrana, hostess of the event, specifies: “At stand D64 of Fecoljuegos and V&I Consultores, with the sponsorship of the company DAPS Solutions, experts in data protection from IGaming and sports betting, we will organize round tables in which the lawyers and those who have requested an appointment to make their inquiries will be located by country. In the request, the interested parties must indicate their names and surnames and the subject and country for the advice that the respective professional will provide. Cristina Romero De Alba, Tomás Enrique García Botta, Carlos Alberto Fonseca Sarmiento, Carlos Fernando Portilla Robertson, Iván Guerrero Sánchez, María Luiza Kurban Jobim, Joe Bonilla, Daniel Cardona, María Paola Isaza Zuluaga and Laura Ruiz Millán will honor us with their presence. ”
