(Punta Cana).- The event, conceived as a face-to-face meeting to re-power the gaming industry of the Caribbean, Central and South America, will lay the foundations for expansion in the coming years.

GAT Caribe starts today in Punta Cana

During today, Thursday November 25 and tomorrow, Friday November 26 at The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club, the event will have a strong component of analysis and study of markets in casinos, lotteries, platforms and digital transformation, including the universe of eSports and its very probable regulation as sports betting in the region.

For the first time in the Dominican Republic, three important sectors such as casinos, sports banks and lotteries will meet on the same stage to look to the future. Great expectations are generated by the academic agenda made up of conferences and panels. The development, digitalization and diversification of legal gambling is a common goal. The Caribbean economy is in full reactivation and entertainment is a key factor for the attraction of new gambling markets in a country that receives millions of tourists every year.

José Aníbal Aguirre notes: "After the forced pause we have had to live through as organizers of face-to-face fairs and the chaos in the economy of all countries, we have the privilege of inaugurating GAT Caribe today, thanks to several months of concerted efforts and the firm support of the Dominican Casino Association, the National Association of Sports Banks and well-known companies such as Juancito Sport, Loteka and Zataca. Colombia will shine in the agenda of GAT Caribe with the knowledge and experience of Elizabeth Maya Cano, President of Cornazar and Evert Montero Cárdenas, leader and visible head of the Colombian Federation of Gaming Businessmen, Fecoljuegos. Evolution Global disembarks from Europe, with an enviable list of awards for its quality and management as a supplier of casino operators".

The installation of the event will take place at 2 pm and the welcome greetings will be in charge of David Moniz, President Dominican Association of Gaming Casinos RD, Ricardo Nadal, President National Association of Sports Banks RD, Elizabeth Maya, President Cornazar, Colombia and Evert Montero, President Fecoljuegos, Colombia.

The corporate exhibition will run the two days of GAT Caribe between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm in the Gran Salón Yauya, now transformed into a showroom for IGC's land-based equipment and the stands of EvenBet Gaming and DAPS.solutions.

The Dominican Association of Gaming Casinos begins the academic day with the conference "Genesis of Gambling and Casinos in the Dominican Republic".

The lottery is part of the Caribbean and Latin culture and will be the subject of talks with experts this afternoon. Esmeralda Britton, President of the Costa Rican Social Protection Board, Costa Rica's regulatory body, and the National Lottery, will present her lecture: "Regulatory Framework of Gambling in Costa Rica". Loteka RD will be represented by Yamile Gutiérrez, Legal Director and Compliance Officer. Isidro Tejada, Regulatory Advisor and Camilo Paez, Consultant Lawyer in Gaming and Lotteries, will also be present.
