GAT CDMX 2025: Cutting-edge Sessions And Training To Transform The Gaming Industry In Latin America

(Mexico City).- GAT Expo CDMX 2025 presents a robust academic agenda on August 27 and 28 at Expo Santa Fe, with the participation of government leaders, unions, operators, suppliers, and national and international experts, who will address the most relevant topics for the present and future of the games of chance industry in Mexico and the region.
Day 1: Institutional Academy, Conferences, and High-Level Panels
The session on Wednesday, August 27, begins with the formal installation of the Academy, led by representatives of the Mexico City Government, Coljuegos Colombia, AIEJA, the Fintech Mexico Association, and GAT Expo management.
This will be followed by a series of conferences and panels addressing topics of great interest, such as:
The present and future of the Mexican gaming market, with prominent authorities and business leaders.
An update on the Mexican Gaming and Lottery Law, led by legal experts and union leaders.
Machine imports and marketing challenges, with the participation of leaders from Amusnet, Novomatic, FBM, and other industry leaders.
Affiliate marketing towards the 2026 World Cup, led by Betandeal.
Innovation in igaming and sports betting, led by Víctor Arias of Pragmatic Play, with the participation of major brands such as Betcris, Golden Lion, and Luckia México.
One of the most anticipated moments of the academic session will be the panel "Regulatory Experiences in South America: Combating Illegal Gambling," moderated by Miguel Ángel Ochoa, president of AIEJA. The event will bring together highly experienced figures such as Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos (Colombia); Luis Gama, former national director of Loterías y Quinielas (Lotteries and Quinielas) of Uruguay; Javier Balbuena, former president of CONAJZAR (CONAJZAR) in Paraguay; and José Casapía, Institutional Relations Manager at Novomatic Perú and director of SONAJA (SONAJA). The discussion promises to offer a comparative view of how different countries in the region are addressing illegal gambling, sharing regulatory strategies and cooperation models that strengthen the industry's sustainability and legitimacy.
Topics related to payments, accounts and credits, and OKRs in the industry will also be discussed.
The grand finale of the institutional academic event will be the presentation of the Latin American Gaming Associations Summit, which will bring together the presidents of AIEJA, CORNAZAR, CIBELAE, FECOLJUEGOS, SONAJA, APOJA, and ADCJ. The main session for deliberations and agreements at this summit will take place on Thursday, August 28, between 2 and 5 pm, within the framework of the exhibition booths in Hall A of Expo Santa Fe.

Day 2: Workshops and Specialized Workshops
August 28 will be dedicated to practical workshops in two parallel settings:
Stage 1 – Smart Compliance, Strategy, and Leadership: sessions focused on risk management, regulatory protection, technological innovation in risk detection, and best practices in compliance and prevention of ML/TF, with experts from Colombia and Mexico such as Vásquez & Asociados, Vision Firm, Tu Identidad, and Wplay. The workshop is aimed at compliance officers, and AIEJA has confirmed the attendance of 15 officials who perform control activities in companies affiliated with this association. Spaces are still available.
Stage 2 – Online Gaming: A dynamic space with conferences on international payments, cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, innovation in sports betting, slot trends, eSports betting, omnichannel strategies, and artificial intelligence applications in sportsbooks. Executives from Bitso, Prometeo, Oddin, SIS, Mobadoo, Play'n GO, ChatBet, LLYC, and First will participate.
Latin American Gaming Association Summit
In an exclusive booth within the main hall of GAT Expo, for the first time in Mexico, seven associations representing operators from Colombia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Paraguay, and Latin America will meet, represented by their presidents and CEOs. This meeting, led by FECOLJUEGOS and hosted by AIEJA, will be the starting point for a permanent space for strategic cooperation and dialogue between the main trade organizations in the gaming sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
GAT CDMX Academy, Knowledge Center
The conference sessions, panels, and workshops will be an exceptional knowledge center for training, regulatory updates, experience sharing, and international exposure to the regional gaming industry. During these two days, there will be direct networking opportunities for experts, suppliers, and operators from all gaming verticals, reaffirming Mexico's position as a strategic hub for the Latin American and global technology and entertainment markets.
