(Cartagena de Indias).- The strategic GAT Events circuit, which integrates key markets of the Latin American gaming industry, kicks off its annual tour at GAT Expo Cartagena on 28, 29 and 30 April.

GAT Events 2025 route kicks off in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

The venue for the GAT Cartagena de Indias event will once again be the Las Américas Convention Centre. It has recently been expanded and equipped with all the technological and logistical requirements, in a privileged location, 5 minutes from Rafael Núñez International Airport and 15 minutes from the city centre with first class hospitality for visitors, exhibitors and sponsors at the Hotel Las Américas, adjacent to the fairgrounds.

Consolidated as the preferred large format exhibition for the casino sector in the region, it features the most relevant global and local brands in this segment: Win Systems, Novomatic, Merkur Gaming, Ainsworth, Spintec, DRGT, Zitro, IGT, IGC, R Franco, Automated Transactions, RPCol, Playgroup, Bya Group, IZC Mayorista and ASAP Americas.

The organisation announces that the Government of Colombia has authorised a Transitory Free Trade Zone, exclusively for GAT Expo at the Cartagena Las Americas Convention Centre. This authorisation will be in force from 28 March to 30 May. Thanks to this facility, exhibiting companies will be able to import machinery and equipment from other countries without the need for prior nationalisation, avoiding the payment of duties and VAT, as long as the products remain within the exhibition grounds during the exhibition. This measure represents a key benefit for participants, optimising logistics and reducing costs in the exhibition of their innovations.

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, says: "We still have areas available for slots, roulette and much more. Land-based companies attend and return to our show in Cartagena for a compelling reason, the return on their investment is positive and the visibility their brands achieve in strategic markets is extraordinary. I invite you to join the winning team at GAT Expo Cartagena."

In 26 years of trajectory and in the midst of the digital transformation era, GAT Expo Cartagena also counts with the participation of ‘major league’ online gaming providers that have been growing exponentially in the Latin American market. Companies such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Betconstruct, Altenar, Golden Race, Better Collective, Amusnet Interactive, DS Virtual Gaming, Blue Tower, Payu, Fininvest, Air Dice, BetPlay, Mobadoo, Betby and G&G Studio Legal will participate with their innovative portfolios of virtual games, online casino and sports betting.

On the institutional side, the stands of Coljuegos, Asojuegos, Cornazar, Fecoljuegos and the Colombian Lottery Federation will stand out in the Santa María halls of the Las Américas Convention Centre. The country's regulatory authority and the guilds that associate authorised operators will be protagonists in the GAT Academy Expo Cartagena 2025, in conferences and panels that will update the C-Level audience made up of businessmen and experts with knowledge of the gaming industry, about the latest regulatory advances and the current situation of the sector in Colombia and Latin American jurisdictions.

As a welcome, on Sunday 27 April, we invite attendees who are already in ‘La Heroica’ to a cultural and gastronomic tour of the historic centre and the 7-kilometre walled cordon that surrounds this jewel of the Colombian Caribbean.

On Monday 28 April, the agenda will begin with a full academic day from 9:00 to 16:00, where attendees will be able to update themselves on key trends in the gaming industry. To close the day, networking will take place aboard an exclusive boat tour of the magical bay of Cartagena.’

‘On 29 and 30 April, the exhibition stands will be open from 14:00 to 20:00. We are grateful for the support of our main sponsors: Pragmatic Play, Novomatic, Evolution and Betconstruct, who are making the GAT Expo Cartagena 2025 exhibition, Academy and networking activities possible.’

GAT Esports: Growing with the Gamer Industry

As in previous editions, GAT Expo Cartagena will have an exclusive space for eSports, where training workshops will be held for eSports athletes, ranging from technical knowledge to physical preparation. In addition, the second version of the GAT Esports Academy will be held in partnership with Colombian Official Esports.

The grand finale will be marked by exciting eFootball and Counter-Strike tournaments, reaffirming GAT Events' commitment to the growth of the gamer and eSports ecosystem in Colombia and Latin America.

The GAT Events route will have its next stop in Mexico City on 28th and 29th August, where national and Latin American entrepreneurs with interests in the second most powerful gaming market in the region will meet, pending regulatory developments appropriate to the growth of online gaming, now booming, as well as rules that favour the development of the casino sector.
