(Bogota).- One month after GAT Expo was held in Cartagena de Indias last April 9, 10 and 11, the organizers continue to receive testimonies and excellent comments on the results of the trade show that gathered businessmen from all continents, around the growth, regulation and expectations generated by the Latin American markets in the global gaming industry.
The consolidated figures of the Gaming & Technology Expo registry show that delegates from 40 countries met in La Heroica: Armenia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Costa Rica, Curacao, Denmark, Ecuador, England, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Holland, India, Israel, Isle of Man, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and, of course, the host country, Colombia, contributed the largest number of operators and attendees, followed by Peru and Argentina.
The number of visitors in the Santa María and Nueva Granada halls reached a record 2,570 people who visited the stands of 75 exhibitors. The Academic Day on April 9th was a great success with 36 speakers and 350 participants. Particularly noteworthy was the presentation by Coljuegos Colombia and the presence of the Paraguayan regulatory authority, four Colombian associations, Asojuegos, Cornazar, Fecoljuegos, Fedelco, the international associations AIEJA Mexico, ASFEG-Asociación Femenina del Gaming, SONAJA Peru and APOJA Paraguay. José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, commented: "It is evident the growth of the Colombian show from its 25th anniversary. We see it as the starting point for a new season of the brand, which will be increasingly international, strengthening the academic content and the inclusion of cultural and artistic events. Of course, eSports will continue and be strengthened in the GAT agendas. Overall, we will bring more joy and unique experiences in our upcoming meetings already scheduled in Bogota, Santo Domingo and Cancun, during the current year. In 2025, the Cartagena Las Americas Convention Center has been confirmed for April 8, 9 and 10”.
Next stop GAT Showcase Bogotá
The next stop for Gaming & Technology Expo will be in the capital of Colombia. Starting the month of September, GAT Showcase Bogota will be held on Friday, September 6, in a single day of exhibition at the Sheraton Hotel, located five minutes away from El Dorado International Airport.
The organization already has several firms that have ratified their participation in this key event to define acquisitions and new portfolios, arriving in the last quarter of the year. As has become a tradition, all operators holding legal licenses in Colombia attend this commercial showcase every year.
Pragmatic Play has once again taken a privileged position as Sponsor in GAT Showcase Bogota, where Novomatic, Win Systems, IGT, Interblock, Betconstruct and Pay Retailers will also be present with stands, taking into account the facilities of the stands and turnkey services offered by the organization for the convenience of exhibitors.
José Aníbal Aguirre comments: “We are working at a very strong pace because we understand that every day our commitment with the legal gaming industry in Colombia and Latin America is getting bigger and more demanding. In the week that concludes, we can announce that an official inspection visit has already been made to the exhibition hall with the taking of measurements, heights, and application of the floor plans corresponding to the areas that the stands will occupy. Likewise, the Exhibitor's Manual is available with all the details for an optimal participation of our customers and we are responding to requests for commercial offers and closing new contracts. On Thursday, September 5, prior to GAT Showcase Bogota, we will hold the GAT eSports Academy with prominent personalities and institutions that in recent years have focused on the topic that brings together thousands of gaming communities in Colombia and that is currently undergoing a process of professionalization and regulation, essential to ensure transparency and integrity in the world of eSports. Obviously we will also have an eSports experience at GAT Showcase Bogota the following day”.
In September 18th and 19th, GAT Events flies to the capital of the Dominican Republic to GAT Santo Domingo to be held at the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino, with conferences and exhibition.
