GAT EXPO 2021 marks the return of face-to-face regional events

What are your expectations for the GAT EXPO 2021 edition that marks the return of face-to-face shows in the region?

Our expectations as organizers of this return to presence in events are high, although we know that there are still fears and restrictions to feel completely free. We decided to take the risk of returning because they asked us from different sectors of the industry that affected in different ways by circumstances, are eager to find new forms of business, add products to their portfolios and feel that they can see and enjoy the experience again. company and direct interaction with clients and friends that make up the great gaming family in Latin America.

What are the main security measures and protocols that the organization had to take to be able to carry out the event in person?

Health responsibility for GAT Expo 2021 is our absolute priority. Therefore, in coordination with the Cartagena de Indias District Mayor's Office, the Julio César Turbay Ayala Convention Center, the WHO guidelines and the Colombian Ministry of Health, we defined some lines of action such as homogeneous stands designed with entrances and exits in environmentally friendly materials, a single company that provides these services, City Group, with extensive experience in international events held both in Cartagena and in Bogotá and other cities in Colombia. The capacities are defined for each area that we will use within the magnificent architectural structure of the fairgrounds. On this occasion, we located in the large square of 4000 square meters, called Esplanade de San Francisco, most of the exhibition stands related to online games. Of course, given the climate of Cartagena, the commercial show will run between 5 pm and 10 pm. The exhibition of land-based equipment that requires indoor areas will be held in a special module of the Barahona Grand Hall, respecting distances and making the proper use of chinstraps mandatory and the prohibition of eating food and beverages in unauthorized areas.

What will be the main trends in terms of products on display?

As you know, the vertical most hit by the pandemic is that of physical casinos and the growth of online gambling is indisputable. The contributions from one party to the other will be fully evident in the business roundtables that we will hold on the days of the fair. Hence, online gaming is the highlight of GAT Expo 2021, with companies such as BetPlay, SoftGamings, Digitain, WorldMatch, Rivalo, BtoBet, EvenBet, Ezugi, Betandeal, Golden Race, Mobadoo, Universal Soft, Jazz Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Betcris, PlayN'Go, Kiron Interactive, TVBet, Luckia Colombia, Total Bet, Oddin, Sportradar, Geekcity, Latam Café Rocks and Siempre Games. Also a very important space for slots and roulettes in which they debut with their novelties WinSystems, Alfastreet and Aruze.

What are the main topics to be covered in the conferences?

The global boom of eSports and the true announcement of its regulatory process as a legal gambling game in several jurisdictions, led us to focus the conceptual axis of the academy at the I World Congress of Gambling in eSports, CMAe.
The novelty is that Coljuegos and the General Directorate of Games and Raffles of Mexico will be the regulators of Latin America that will expose the current situation of the legislation in their respective countries in relation to eSports and legal gaming. Master Alma Itzel De Lira Castillo, has confirmed her presence at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, both on the installation day of the congress on Wednesday August 18, and in the conferences on Thursday 19 with the theme: "The probable new legal framework for betting on eSports in Mexico ”. The great topic that will be discussed in depth on Wednesday 18 is the "Digital transformation towards an omnichannel service". Óscar Paredes Arroyo, President of the Board of Directors of AIEJA, the largest association of permit holders in the Aztec country, will refer to: "The new context of the game, a vision from Mexico." Also present will be the presidents of the Colombian unions Asojuegos, Cornazar and Fecoljuegos, who are part of the academic agenda.
