(Chicago).- GLI will participate at NCLGS Summer Meeting, to be held July 11-13 at InterContinental Magnificent Mile. This event gathers the legislative decision-makers.
GLI has invited members and participants to download and read its "Illegal and Unregulated Gambling" white-paper in order to know more and adress the issues in their own states.
Illegal and unregulated gaming is a rapidly growing problem in the U.S. Sophisticated technology allows developers to circumvent vague or obsolete criminal gambling statutes, resulting in lost revenue for states and tribes. Moreover, it markedly increases risks for consumers, especially underage and problem gamblers. The best way to effectively protect states, tribes, and consumers from the harms of unregulated and illegal gambling is through a modernized regulatory framework appropriate for this modern era.

LatAm Regulators Discussed Illegal Gambling and Innovation at SiGMA North America
(Mexico City, SoloAzar Exclusive).- The panel "The Red Pen Forum: Regulators Respond to the Industry," held during SiGMA North America 2026, brought together representatives from Uruguay, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Honduras to analyze regulatory challenges, digital transformation, illegal gambling, and the need to adapt lotteries for new generations.
