GLI’S® Georges Didier to Speak at 2019 Brazilian Gaming Congress

(São Paulo).- Georges Didier, Latin America government relations and business development representative for Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI®), will participate in two informative panel discussions during the upcoming Brazilian Gaming Congress (BgC) in São Paulo, Brazil.

GLI’S® Georges Didier to Speak at 2019 Brazilian Gaming Congress

On Monday, June 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Didier will moderate a panel on the topic: “Responsible Gambling in Land-Based and Online Operations: Educating Your Customers on Safe Play.” He will be joined by fellow panelists Joseph Levy, CEO of PMU Brazil and Cynthia Fragoso, member of AIEJA. They will discuss the upcoming regulatory requirements for responsible gambling (RG); following European technological and operational best practices; online and land-based RG safeguards; and RG solutions for casinos and sports betting.


On Tuesday, June 25 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Didier will participate in a panel discussion on the topic: “Building Transparency: How to Construct a Regulatory Body Which Allows for Cross-Industry Dialogue.” He will be joined by fellow panelists Alberto Alfieri, COO of Bet Entertainment Technologies; Russell Mifsud, Associate Director of KPMG; and Óscar Madureira, an attorney with the firm Rato Ling Lei & Cortés. They will discuss how regulators should work with operators to ensure a positive relationship; whether operators need an independent association to effectively communicate their needs; the role of the regulator in ensuring sports integrity; and combatting money laundering and tax evasion. They will also present case studies from other newly regulated jurisdictions.
