(United Kingdom, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Javier Cicciomessere, Golden Race Sales Director for Spain and Latin America, granted an interview to SoloAzar about his experience at the recent SBC Digital Event. He talked about the Company´s presentation and current affairs in the world of gambling, facing the covid-19 pandemic.
What were your expectations towards new SBC Digital event?
We were looking forward to meeting top quality executives of the industry to explain the advantages of our new games and solutions, exchange ideas and impressions on current trends and discuss the best business opportunities.
This was a great opportunity to show the industry what our brands can do for them. We were attending with five virtual stands: Golden Race, our slot division Spinmatic, our live games brand HollywoodTV, and our partners: the sports betting platform Novusbet and sports data feeds provider Oddsdealer.
On the other hand, it was also be very interesting to test how these type of events can be done virtually, which is of great help in the current situation where so many gaming summits had to be cancelled.
What products or solutions did you present at showcase area?
We had an upgraded version of our online betting solution that we presented at the virtual exhibition.
We also presented detailed information about our latest virtual sports games and our award-winning virtual football league offer.
Finally, we shared full details about our complete All-in-One Solution that includes Spinmatic slot and bingo games and HollywoodTV live games.
What is your opinion on the current situation generated by the pandemics?
This is a terrible situation but we need to find positive learnings for our business and also for our personal lives.
As we are all aware, the Coronavirus affected many sectors beyond Health. Economic losses in several areas have shown up, and companies must find a way to keep being profitable as they reinvent themselves.
Fortunately we have virtual sports, which are available 24/7. With the real spots void, virtual sports are the best option to cover losses. Even before the outbreak, we observed amazing numbers for virtual sports, with 15% to 20% of the monthly profits in average generated at a betting shop were driven by virtual sports in the European market. But now the demand from players has grown even more, for example, we see a 74% growth on Golden Race online tickets selling in virtual sports bettings and we have signed more than 140 partnerships since the beginning of March.
We know that this trend will not be a short-term thing, but a full change for our industry from now on, since players will be more familiarised with virtual games and will keep demanding them.
How do these type of events contribute to the gaming industry nowadays?
It will be very interesting to test how these type of events can be done virtually. I think it’s of great help in the current situation where so many gaming summits had to be cancelled. There are a lot of issues to talk about and discuss so this is a huge opportunity.
