Under the leadership of Ewa Bakun, Clarion Gaming’s Director of Industry Insight and Engagement this is the biggest and highest profile presence since the Consumer Protection Zone was introduced to the show-floor in 2018 when it had eight exhibitors.

Clarion Gaming is fund-raising for the third time through the CPZ. In 2019 it raised £35,000 rising to £65,000 at the last edition of ICE in 2020.
ICE London provides insight on all of the topical issues impacting the industry and safer gambling punctuates every conversation particularly so in the lead-up to the publication of the UK Government’s White Paper on gambling.

The show features a Responsible Gambling Masterclass, as part of ICE VOX, with the CPZ theatre opening with talks on Tuesday afternoon.

There will be opportunities for industry professionals to learn from experts and discuss consumer protection, sustainability and industry reputation throughout the three days of what is the world’s most influential event for the international b2b gambling industry.

ICE VOX Conference programme
ICE VOX provides world class insight delivered by industry thought leaders and is integral to the ICE experience. This year the agenda has been amended in order to deliver highly targeted Masterclasses covering a range of business-critical topics, which will be discussed and explored in full.

The Masterclass programme has been curated in a way that allows delegates to select and participate in more intimate discussions covering key business issues, without interfering with their exhibition and meeting schedule on the show floor. This way visitors can participate fully in the totality of the London experience. Each of the nine Masterclasses has been capped at 50 participants in order to facilitate more valuable discussions.

Topics being covered include: The Customer Journey (land-based and online); Responsible Gambling; Customer Acquisition; Global Market Roundtables; Vertical Integration; How To Build A Blockbuster Slot; Crime, Fraud and Esports and the LatAM Masterclass.

Esports
ICE London 2022 features the most authentic delivery of esports tournaments held at a gambling industry event courtesy of a £25,000 prize pool Rocket League tournament.

The tournament, which is being contested on the Hyper X Esports Truck – aka Big Betty – features top tier esports teams Dignitas, 00 Nation, Rix.GG, and SMPR esports. Clarion has secured the services of Gregun and JohnnyBoi, two of Rocket League’s best-known commentators, to host the event for both the live stream and the in-person crowd at ICE London.
Visitors are able to participate by placing bets on the outcomes using the ICE Esports Arena chips.

Visitors will learn how they can best utilise the esports market and gain competitive advantage courtesy of keynote speeches taking place on the 12th and 13th April and delivered by esports specialists UltraPlay and Esports Charts.

Clarion Gaming will also be launching details of the £100,000 prize pool stand-alone esports tournaments scheduled for September 2022 in Stockholm.

The in-person Dota 2 tournaments have been tailored towards the betting community from the ground-up.
Visitors wanting to meet the Clarion Gaming esport team and IMG representatives in order to explore opportunities at the Dota 2 Global All-Stars tournament, should contact Tansu.Yilmaz@clarionevents.com to book a meeting.

ICE Landmark Awards recognise industry’s extraordinary achievements
The milestone achievements and successes of organisations and individuals in international gaming will be celebrated at the Landmark Awards an initiative launched by Clarion Gaming to recognise the ‘extraordinary’ within the industry.

The awards are being presented at 4pm on Wednesday 13th April, on the Clarion Gaming stand N2: 245.

ASCEND project to encourage women gaming executives
Clarion Gaming has issued an open invitation to women working in the gaming industry to be part of the launch of ASCEND, the new mentorship initiative created to provide a network of support as well as guidance on personal and professional development.

The launch will take the form of a networking buffet comprising hosted round tables and will be held on Wednesday 13 April at the ICC Capital Suite (12.45 – 14.30 hours).

The ASCEND programme will help mentees working across the entire gaming ecosystem to enhance their leadership skills, gain confidence and network with other like-minded women.

YGAM named as Clarion’s first Charity Partner
The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM), the award-winning education charity has identified ICE London as playing an important role in its development.

Decision-makers back ICE
Close to three out of four industry professionals (74%) pre-registering for ICE have confirmed their intention to be part of the London experience.

The independent research conducted among a large size sample of 1,211, (77% of whom were the final decision-maker or part of the final decision- making group)- also underlined the importance attributed to the world’s largest business-to-business gambling exhibition.

81% of respondents saw ICE London as being either fairly or very important to attend with the main purpose of attending being to acquire new suppliers and partners (67% of respondents), gain an overview of the market (56%) and to be inspired by new ideas (53%)

Clarion has also made a six figure investment in a Hosted Meetings Programme to match influential buyers from throughout the world with companies exhibiting at ICE.

A brand-new initiative, the programme is being curated by Newbridge Events, which has a track record of working alongside leading show organisers and brands including the UK Government’s Department of International Trade. Exhibitors have provided intelligence on the type of decision- makers that they want to engage with resulting in 60 specified international buyers from 15 countries being hosted at show participating in a projected 300 one-to-one curated meetings.

Peter Hannibal, Chief Executive of the strategic body the Gambling Business Group, has described ICE London as being an ‘unbelievable source of inspiration and an unparalleled shop window for the international gambling industry.‘

Hannibal, who is attending his 40th edition of ICE and its predecessor ATEI, explained: “The gambling industry is one of the fastest adopters of new technology and ICE is the event at which innovators unashamedly choose to launch their newest and most progressive products and services safe in the knowledge that they will be able to engage with a truly international audience of gambling industry buyers. As a consequence I think it’s fair to say that the majority of great gambling innovations have been seen if not launched at ICE London.”
