ICE Barcelona 2026 Shines with Sports Icons, Innovation and Safer Play

(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- The international gaming show ICE Barcelona experienced another intense day yesterday with legendary figures, key conferences, and spaces dedicated to sustainability and player protection. Under the rain, the indoor corridors became the epicenter of meetings, giveaways, and debates that define the future of the industry.

A vibrant atmosphere despite the weather

ICE Barcelona 2026 brings together more than 65,000 visitors from 186 countries, with 600 international exhibitors and over 200 expert speakers. The rainy weather encouraged crowds to gather in the pavilions, where company stands turned into true attractions with gifts, experiences, and exclusive presentations.


Football stars at the heart of the show

The second day was marked by the presence of sports icons. Amusnet celebrated its tenth anniversary with an impressive two-story stand covering 1,224 m² under the motto “Winning Together.” There, the legendary Hristo Stoichkov hosted a “Meet & Greet” that drew large crowds, signing jerseys and footballs between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Digitain, meanwhile, brought excitement to the highest level by hosting Alessandro Del Piero and Luís Figo. Attendees not only had the chance to meet them in person but also to join a live raffle to win autographed jerseys, creating one of the most memorable moments of the fair.


Strategic conferences and workshops

The day’s academic agenda included highly relevant workshops:

Cybercrime & Fraud: focused on prevention and response to digital crimes.

Entry into New Markets: highlighting business opportunities in emerging regions such as Brazil and Latin America.

Safer Gambling: addressing practices and regulations to ensure responsible environments.

In this context, Alejandro H. Tengco, Chairman of PAGCOR (Philippines), emphasized the urgency of combating illegal operators and strengthening player-focused regulations, especially amid the expansion of digital gaming.


Gaming and sustainability

The Safer Gambling Zone (SGZ) reached its largest edition since 2018, bringing together 27 organizations from ten countries. With a new open design and a strategic location between pavilions 4 and 5, it consolidated itself as the reference space to explore technological trends and debate the future of responsible gaming.

Additionally, Spain’s Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ) inaugurated the Sustainable Gambling Zone, with the presence of Mikel Arana. The director stressed that safe gambling is a structural priority in Spain and called for placing the player at the center of the market, integrating risk prevention, clear information, and ethical use of technology.

An event that sets the course

Day two of ICE Barcelona 2026 underscored how the gaming industry blends entertainment, innovation, and responsibility. With sports legends on site, debates on emerging markets, and a strong focus on sustainability, the event reinforced its standing as the leading global forum for operators, regulators, and technology providers.
