We finally met again in person at ICE London. What is the importance for the company of being present at this show?

Exhibiting at ICE London has been something we have been looking forward to at 7Mojos. Events such as ICE give companies a date to look forward to and plan something special in order to stand out. We've had many great ideas, and we are excited to showcase some of them at the event. It's very refreshing to finally have one of the biggest iGaming expositions of the year back on track at the ExCeL!

What novelties have you prepared for this occasion? What has the firm exhibited at your stand and what were the highlights?

For this exposition, we have planned to showcase our brand new Galaxy Roulette, and Blackjack live tables, as well as our brand new Baccarat and Dragon Tiger studio to go with the new UI for our Baccarat. In general, our live dealer games portfolio has been the focus, and for a good reason - we want to show everyone how we're pushing the limits of this segment with our unique approach to the studio and UI design, as well as our attention to detail to things such as cinematography and soundtrack selection. Building on what we've created for ICE, we plan to release more amazing things in the near future, but we can't reveal anything just yet.

After the last two years, due to the pandemic, we had to make changes and adapt both personally and professionally. How does the company face this "new normal" we are living right now?

These past two years have shaped companies in many different ways, us included. There is something to be said, though, that the "new normal" seems to be different for every company and is something that seems to be quite dynamic and everchanging. At 7Mojos, we have tried to use the current situation as an opportunity to try different strategies for all areas, from marketing and business development to recruitment and work schedules. As a company situated in an industry where creativity is key to succeeding, we prefer having everyone grouped up together in-person to maximise the potential of our teams. However, we are also very flexible, and we are ready to continue adapting to any situations that may arise.

Online gaming is becoming stronger every day worldwide. What are the opportunities and benefits that arise? Do you think that online gaming could be competition for land-based gaming or a complement?

The state of the online gaming industry is a very interesting one. On the one hand, there is a definite overlap between a segment of the player base. On the other hand, online gaming does seem to attract a lot of new, perhaps more casual players and, in the process, creates an entirely new market. Currently, this is more profound in some segments as opposed to others, but a great example would be the live casino segment, where we ourselves are trying to create something entirely different - our 'Galaxy' tables that emulate a spaceship environment and create a truly immersive experience. Land-based gaming will always be around as there is a unique thrill that can't be replicated - from the atmosphere of the casino itself to the entertainment that is organised around the gaming sessions themselves. In terms of opportunities, the growth of online gaming will allow for more innovation and content creation in the industry, but also it will hopefully incentivise different governments to reconsider their position on regulating the industries as opposed to banning them altogether.

In what markets is the company already established and what are the markets it is aiming to enter soon?

We currently have a variety of different licenses, such as MGA, GLI-19, Bulgaria, Croatia, Portugal and Colombia, but we are always looking to expand into more regulated markets. Our slot and live dealer games portfolio is well-tailored to many regions as it contains classics such as Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat, but also games such as Andar Bahar and Teen Patti, that have been performing very well.

Brexit has been decisive for many companies when making the decision to participate or not in this edition of ICE London. How have you handled this issue? Is it an important issue when deciding to be present here?

For us in particular, Brexit wasn't too big of an issue as it didn't affect our strategy for the expo itself, but understandably so, for many big gaming machine manufacturers, it created a huge problem and played a big role in their decision to withdraw from ICE. The absence of some of these big exhibitors might actually positively affect our outcome at the exhibition as it gives us a bigger opportunity to gather more attention on our stand. At the end of the day, we always have to look at everything as an opportunity.
