(Las Vegas, Exclusive SoloAzar).- In a thorough dialogue with SoloAzar, John Connelly, Global CEO at Interblock shared their experience at G2E Las Vegas, the feedback they received for all they products showcased at the expo, and, mainly, he enhanced their ultimate luxury product category: the Live Electronic Table Game Pits as a solution between the online gaming and the traditional table gaming.
How was your experience at this G2E Las Vegas edition?
This year’s Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas was, by far, our most successful expo yet! G2E provided us the remarkable opportunity to show the world where Interblock and Electronic Table Game (ETG) technology was and demonstrate where we are headed. We invested into the company, hiring and developing our products, and, as a result, we introduced more innovative products and features than we have ever had before, at one of the most attended shows in G2E history. For the past five years, Interblock revolved around three primary categories - Stadium Technology, Standalone Products, and Universal Cabinets. At G2E, we proudly unveiled a fourth product category within our company - Live Electronic Table Game Pits.
What was your business or promotion strategy at G2E?
Interblock, as a whole, and all of its incredible employees, take tremendous pride in G2E. It’s an opportunity for us to surprise the industry by demonstrating our hard work and innovation. Our primary goal at G2E was to introduce new forms of Electronic Table Games, specifically designed to create a more competitive environment for Casinos around the world. Interblock introduced upgrades to virtually all of its current products on Casino floors to help increase both the Handle and Hold Percentage, while continuing to evolve the methods to reduce operating expenses for our casino partners. Our ultimate goal was, and will continue to be, to appeal to and meet the demands of all demographics to draw players to Casinos.
How do you see the online iGaming development and its risks?
There is a growing desire by traditional operators to incorporate online gaming on the Casino floor. Specifically, Casinos are interested in live streaming content. At Interblock, we are enthusiastically exploring ways to provide our partners and players the ability to play our content in an integrated manner, whether online or in a Casino. Online players have different expectations, when entering a Casino, than the players our industry has grown accustom to. The rate of play, distribution methods, social aspects, and many other factors are more relevant when attempting to bridge online gaming and traditional table gaming environments together. ETGs, having the ability to effectively integrate both gaming segments together, are the clear solution. The technology and innovation of these machines enable Casinos and their players to efficiently adapt to a progressing market in a manner that other form factors cannot.
What do you think the feedback for your new products exposed at G2E was like?
Our new products, features, and functionalities were received with an overwhelming positive reaction from the industry at G2E. As mentioned, we launched Live ETG Pits, designed to enhance existing table game offerings though the utilization of technology. Featuring Live Dealers and advanced technology, Live ETG Pits with Live Craps, Live Roulette, Live Blackjack, and Live Baccarat, are designed to transport an existing pit to the future. Live Dealers, guided by Interblock’s Dealer Terminal, encourage play to triple decisions per hour, increase the House Advantage/Hold Percentage, eliminate overpayments, and provide players an intimate, personalized gaming experience.
Additionally, we unveiled two new games at G2E, Pick2Win Craps and Bonus Wheel Roulette, which both received praise. Pick2Win Craps elevates the gaming experience as the designated shooter selects which two out of three, color distinctive dice generators will produce the result. Bonus Wheel Roulette incorporates the thrill of playing traditional Roulette with the opportunity for players to win payouts up to 250 to 1 with our dual wheel bonus system. When players wager on any of the four bonus gems and the ball lands in the selected bonus gem pocket on the main wheel, a secondary bonus wheel will spin to determine the amount of the bonus payout rewarded to players with multipliers up to 250 to 1. As a whole, Interblock products increase playing time, reduce labor costs and payout errors, and surge revenue. What’s not to love?
How did you use this space to learn about your customer’s need?
As the ETG segment progresses, we continue to learn that the type of distribution we need to offer players, and ultimately our customers, is far more diversified than we originally thought. We found that, while they are interested in traditional games, the new generation of players yearn for fresh, alternative techniques of playing. While observing consumer behaviors, we have noticed an influx of players embracing new technology.
The appropriate and logical next step, at this point in our company’s growth cycle, is online gaming. Our data proves that, in order to accomplish our goals, we need to consider multiple product demographics when designing new technology. Through the utilization of best practices, obtained from years of experience, our ability to migrate to a parallel distribution channel will prove successful. In the very near future, when people think of “table games,” they will think of Interblock.
How is your firm positioned at the North America market?
In 2015, the North American market was untouched by ETGs, with under one percent of Casino floors. We have had close to 20% compound annual growth rate in five years, which is statistically uncommon. We are currently only one percent of the casino floor in North America. There's still a long way to go. We continue to innovate with our team to find new product categories and new sections of the demographics that feel we can attract to the Casino floors. Interblock’s expansion has remained steady and, as of recent, accelerated, as planned.
