Interview with Param Patel, COO of Blue Tower Games, at GAT Santo Domingo 2024

Blue Tower Games is a dynamic player in the gaming industry, renowned for its innovative approach to game development and a commitment to delivering engaging gaming experiences.

To kick off the interview, we asked Param about what was new at GAT Showcase Santo Domingo, and he enthusiastically shared that they had introduced updated versions of their popular slots and table games, with a focus on more user interaction and a mobile-oriented design.

He then told us that over the years, he saw a significant evolution in its product line, integrating advanced technologies such as 3D graphics and interactive elements, along with enhanced analytics for operators. He also told us about the expansion of its offering to include a wider variety of mini-games and gaming programmes that offer a more engaging experience for players.

When asked about the expectations regarding the Latin American market, particularly in the Dominican Republic, Param stated, “We see great potential in the Latin American market, especially in the Dominican Republic. With the gaming industry expanding rapidly, we expect to see continued growth in demand for innovative and engaging content. We’re excited to bring our games to this market and look forward to working closely with local operators.”

In terms of the interaction with attendees and the feedback received at the event, he commented, “The interaction with attendees has been incredibly positive. We’ve received valuable feedback, particularly about the appeal of our newer features, such as the interactive scratch cards and game shows. Attendees have expressed excitement about the quality of the content and its adaptability to various platforms.”

Regarding the challenges faced by the company in the region, Param identified the regulatory landscape as a key concern: “One of the biggest challenges we face in the region is navigating the varied regulatory environments across different countries. Ensuring compliance while delivering the best user experience is a delicate balance. Additionally, establishing strong partnerships with local operators is key to our success, which can also present challenges as we adapt to different market conditions.”

He also addressed the impact of regulation on the growth of the sector in the Caribbean, saying, “Regulation plays a critical role in the growth of the gaming sector in the Caribbean. While regulations can sometimes pose challenges, they also create a stable and secure environment for both operators and players. We believe that as regulations continue to evolve, they will promote fair play and sustainable growth in the region.”

Finally, when discussing the business opportunities that the Dominican Republic offers for the gaming industry, Param remarked, “The Dominican Republic offers immense potential for the gaming industry. Its well-established tourism sector and growing interest in iGaming present opportunities for companies like ours to introduce new and exciting gaming experiences. We’re excited about the prospects and look forward to growing our presence in the market.”
