2 minutos de lectura
(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- JCM Global stood out at ICE with its innovative solutions such as UBA Ultra and UBA Pro SS, capturing the interest of operators from LATAM and South Africa. In this interview with SoloAzar, Jaime Bonet, JCM Sales Manager Spain, highlighted the most relevant conferences of the event, and offered an analysis of the latest cutting-edge technologies and other key issues for the sector.

How would you describe your experience as an exhibitor at this first edition of ICE in Barcelona?
ICE Barcelona 2025 was a resounding success for JCM Global and the gaming industry as a whole. The move to Barcelona brought a fresh energy to the event, attracting a diverse range of operators from across Europe and LATAM. The show provided an excellent platform for us to engage with industry leaders, demonstrate our latest innovations, and discuss the evolving needs of different markets.
“ICE Barcelona had a clear positive impact on the gaming industry, including LATAM,” says Jaime Bonet, JCM Sales Manager Spain. “Operators from across the region attended the show, eager to explore new technologies and innovations, including our UBA Pro SS bill acceptor, which offers a highly competitive solution for the LATAM market.”

What innovations were presented, and which markets showed the most interest in your solutions during the tradeshow?
At ICE Barcelona, JCM showcased our latest advancements in cash-handling technology, with particular interest in two key solutions:
- UBA Pro SS – This cost-competitive bill acceptor gained significant attention from LATAM operators, who were drawn to its speed, security, and efficiency—a perfect match for the region’s gaming market.
- UBA Ultra – European and South African casino operators were particularly impressed by this premium solution, which offers high-speed validation and advanced CIS sensor technology for optimal security and performance.
“We provided live demonstrations of our latest bill acceptors, and the response was incredibly positive,” says Bonet. “LATAM operators were highly interested in the UBA Pro SS, while many European and South African operators saw great potential in the UBA Ultra, which is wellsuited for high-end casino environments.”
What conferences, panels, or debates did you find useful or interesting?
ICE Barcelona featured a wide range of insightful discussions on key industry topics, from cashless gaming and regulatory developments to AI-driven security solutions. JCM Global found particular value in panels focused on payment innovation, as cash handling remains a critical aspect of gaming operations.
The discussions around regulatory harmonisation in Europe and LATAM were also particularly relevant, offering perspectives on how technology providers like JCM can help operators navigate compliance while ensuring seamless, secure transactions.

What trends do you believe will mark the near future of the industry?
One of the most evident trends is the continued evolution of payment technology. While cash remains a dominant form of payment in many regions, operators are looking for integrated solutions that support both cash and digital transactions. The demand for faster, more secure bill validation is also growing, particularly in high-volume gaming environments.
Additionally, AI and machine learning are playing an increasing role in fraud prevention and operational efficiency, with CIS sensors and smart validation technologies becoming essential in cash-handling devices.
“Gaming operators are looking for speed, security, and versatility in payment solutions,” explains Bonet. “At JCM, we are committed to staying ahead of these trends by delivering innovations that enhance both operator efficiency and player experience.”
How did you perceive the impact of ICE Barcelona for the LATAM region?
ICE Barcelona reinforced its position as a global hub for the gaming industry, with a strong presence from LATAM operators and stakeholders. The event provided a valuable opportunity to discuss regional challenges and opportunities, particularly in areas such as payment security, compliance, and the adoption of next-generation bill validation technology.
“It was fantastic to meet with so many LATAM operators at our stand and exchange views on the current and future state of the gaming industry,” says Bonet. “The interest in advanced bill validation solutions like the UBA Pro SS highlights the region’s commitment to enhancing security and efficiency in their gaming operations.”
In relation to the Spanish market: what challenges do you face in a market with fragmented regulations across autonomous communities, and how do you ensure compliance while offering a quality experience to customers?
The fragmented regulatory landscape in Spain presents a unique challenge for gaming operators and suppliers, requiring a flexible and adaptive approach to ensure compliance across different autonomous communities. At JCM Global, we work closely with operators, regulators, and industry associations to ensure our solutions meet all local requirements while maintaining highperformance standards.
“Regulatory differences across Spain require a tailored approach,” explains Bonet. “At JCM, we invest in research, maintain close relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure our products align with both national and regional requirements. This allows us to continue providing secure, high-quality solutions to operators across Spain.”
What are the upcoming events you will be attending to?
Following the success of ICE Barcelona, JCM Global will be present at several key industry events throughout 2025, including:
- G2E Las Vegas – One of the premier global gaming exhibitions
- BEGE Sofia – a key event for the gaming sector in the Balkan area
Each of these events will provide an opportunity to showcase our latest technologies and strengthen our partnerships within the gaming industry.
