What novelties did you present at this edition?

This year’s PGS signaled the Peru market debut of Konami’s award-winning DIMENSION line of slot machines, including stacked-screen DIMENSION 27 and portrait-screen DIMENSION 49—ranked the industry’s No. 1 Top Indexing Cabinet – Portrait / Portrait Slant for 10 months. DIMENSION 27 showcased a mix of original slot entertainment, including the series ranked in the industry’s Top 10 Indexing New Games – Core, Video Reel: Dragon’s Law Fortune Pots and Bags, with the iconic Dragon’s Law long-tailed dragon. Backed by a proven track record across Australian markets, Konami’s Prize Strike slot series also arrived to PGS on DIMENSION 27, with two unique base game adventures. 

On portrait-screen DIMENSION 49, we were happy to share our popular Ocean Spin slot series, with synchronized bonus animations across all connected machines. This ocean-themed linked progressive series features multiple wheel-spin bonus events, to surprise players and attract attention from across the room. Konami’s high-performing Fortune Mint slot series was also displayed at PGS 2023, with player-favorite mystery multipliers.

Why did you decide to present this specific product in the LATAM market? 

PGS 2023 was a very important event for Konami Gaming and our Peru market distributor Pacific Gaming. This was our first return to the show in several years, as well as the Peru market debut of Konami’s newest DIMENSION line of machines. So we are especially focused on sharing a rich collection of trusted technology and entertainment with our Peru customers, namely proven machines and top-ranked games such as Ocean Spin, Fortune Mint, Dragon’s Law Fortune, and more.

What were the highlights of this 20th edition of PGS?

For our team, connecting with casino customers is the highlight. We are appreciative of the time our customers share with us, and we always look forward to it. 

Did you find Perú as a potential market for your products and/or services? 

It is very important that we empower Peru casinos to take advantage of the latest proven game series and machines. Many casinos across Latin America are looking to invest in new entertainment and welcome guests with fresh content. Konami’s latest product offers a great solution to this, because we have a long library of tested and proven entertainment content on the newest DIMENSION line. There is a strong appetite for what Konami has created with DIMENSION—both for the proven reliability of the machines and the popularity of the many different game content options. So Konami is continuing its commitment to efficient product delivery and service, to help casino customers take advantage of these games as soon as possible. 

Next challenges in the Latam market?

The primary challenges are economic concerns and political uncertainty. The economic concern centers around the fear of recession in the United States, as traditionally this will have a negative effect throughout Latin America. And in several countries, we’re challenged by the instability of some new governments, new importation restrictions, and higher taxes—all of which impact our business.
