(Lima, Soloazar Exclusive).- On the eve of a new edition of the Peru Gaming Show (PGS), organizers highlight the event’s international growth, the evolution of the Peruvian market, and the key topics that will shape this year’s agenda. The trade show, organized by AMG SAC, will take place on June 17–18 at the Jockey Exhibition Center in Lima.
In conversation with SoloAzar, Rubén Solórzano, General Manager of AMG and CEO Joe López, discussed the consolidation of PGS as one of Latin America’s most relevant gatherings and shared what attendees can expect from this edition.
Lima Welcomes Delegations from Over 40 Countries
What does reaching this level of international participation mean to you?
After 22 editions of the Peru Gaming Show and years of building a relationship of trust with the industry, we believe this achievement is the result of constant work and attention to detail.
Our goal has always been to meet the needs of companies participating in the exhibition, giving them a platform to showcase their products and services, while also contributing to the professionalization of the sector through an academic program with relevant content for those managing and operating gaming businesses.
It is a source of pride to know that delegations from over 40 countries choose to come to Lima with the expectation of finding business opportunities, innovation, and development. PGS has become the central hub and global meeting point for the gaming industry, reaffirming its leadership in Latin America and its importance to the international market.
Key Academic Themes and the Evolving Profile of Peruvian Attendees
What are the three must-see topics in this year’s academic program?
There are definitely three key themes no one should miss:
-The integration of land-based and online gaming as complementary business units.
-The evolution of responsible gaming in regulated markets.
-The future of digital payment methods and their impact on the industry.
These are issues shaping the present and will define much of the sector’s evolution in the coming years.
How has the profile of the Peruvian attendee evolved thanks to the work of SONAJA and APADELA?
These trade associations have played a crucial role in maintaining close relationships with both operators and government authorities. Their work provides clarity on current regulations and new rules, making them strategic players in market development.
As a result, the Peruvian attendee has evolved significantly. Today, they are far more technical, better informed about compliance, and eager to learn about cutting-edge technologies that allow them to compete in an increasingly globalized environment.
PGS 2026: Smart Tips to Make the Most of Your First Visit
What advice would you give to first-time visitors?
First, ensure a good stay and proper rest after traveling. The official event website offers accommodation options and recommendations.
We also suggest wearing comfortable shoes to walk through nearly 5,000 square meters of exhibition space and planning your visit objectives in advance.
Above all, the most important advice is to take advantage of every networking opportunity. At PGS, the best business deals often arise from informal conversations anywhere in the venue. There is always someone looking for new partnerships, ideas, or projects.
And one detail that may seem minor but is essential: bring a power bank for your phone. During two days of meetings, contacts, and activities, keeping your device charged can make all the difference.
