SBC Digital Payments to focus on betting and gaming industry´s payments and compliance issues

(London).- This month’s SBC Digital Payments is set to be the only conference and exhibition to deliver an in-depth examination of the specific payments, identity verification, and compliance challenges faced by betting and gaming operators.

SBC Digital Payments to focus on betting and gaming industry´s payments and compliance issues

The online event on 29 April will cover ground that is rarely fully explored at either general gambling industry or fintech conferences, making SBC Digital Paymentsa unique and valuable opportunity to access hard-to-find information and learn from the experiences of senior executives and specialists in the space.

A line-up of more than 40 expert speakers will tackle an agenda that looks at both the overarching issues faced by the industry and the practical day-to-day problems operators must overcome in order to comply with all regulations, while also ensuring that their processes do not damage player experience.

Specific sessions include an in-depth look at what developments in open banking mean for both players and operators, together with a deep dive into how PSD2 is changing the face of payments provision within the gambling industry. Delegates can also look forward to an examination of which of the array of payments options now available are genuinely popular with bettors, and an exploration of the evolving payments ecosystem in the US.

On the compliance side, there are panels focused on how operators can keep pace with the increasingly strict KYC demands of regulators, how innovation can help operators to develop robust AML procedures, and the most effective methods of mitigating payments risks.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said: “This is a vital area for betting and gaming operators and their supply chains to stay up to date with, and not only because payments technology and compliance requirements are constantly evolving.

“Player surveys regularly name swift deposits and withdrawals as among the most important factors when choosing which operator to bet with, while slow and onerous compliance processes during onboarding are one of the factors most likely to persuade customers to abandon their registration. Getting the most efficient and customer-friendly systems in place can give operators a crucial competitive advantage.

“SBC Digital Payments will see highly-experienced payments professionals sharing valuable information about what those systems should look like. The speakers will also offer insights into how to approach some of the changes to regulation in established markets and the compliance requirements in new markets, together with the lessons the gambling industry can learn from the wider fintech sector.”

The event will bring together an audience of 750 executives and specialists, comprising representatives of betting and gaming operators around the world, global payments companies, leading tech suppliers, legal experts, and regulators.

In addition to the unique opportunity to learn from the expert speakers, delegates will have the chance to connect and exchange ideas with fellow industry professionals during the programme of networking roundtables, and to view some of the latest payments and compliance technology in the interactive exhibition.
