SBC Summit Americas 2025: The perfect meeting point for the North American and Latam gaming markets

SBC Summit Americas: Remarkable sessions and real conversations

“SBC Summit Americas 2025 was a milestone event for us. It was the first time we brought together the North American and Latin American markets under one roof,” said Robalino, who remarked: “Fort Lauderdale turned out to be the perfect meeting point: accessible, vibrant, and culturally fitting for both regions.

What really set this year apart was the way we blended these two dynamic ecosystems. From tailored content tracks to region-specific networking zones, we focused on creating meaningful opportunities for attendees to connect across borders. The energy was incredible! People weren’t just attending sessions and walking the show floor; they were having real conversations that could lead to real business”, he explained.

Top-level networking experiences

“We also introduced more curated networking experiences and built out the event with better tools for relationship-building, especially for senior decision-makers,” Robalino assured. “That, combined with stronger localization and a high-quality production, really elevated the experience. All wrapped up with our closing night INFINITY Florida party featuring Steve Aoki, which was a fantastic way to wrap up the week,” he added.

Positive feedback from attendees

“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Attendees appreciated the fresh format, the diversity in the room, and the genuine value of the connections they made. It’s safe to say this year set a strong foundation for even bigger things ahead,” he highlighted.

Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit

When asked about the addition of the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit, he affirmed that it brought a new level of depth and specialization to SBC Summit Americas. “These zones gave industry professionals focused spaces to connect with like-minded peers, dive into targeted content, and explore the unique challenges and opportunities within their sectors”.

We’ve seen how powerful this format can be at events like SBC Summit in Lisbon and SBC Summit Rio, where dedicated zones have not only elevated the attendee experience but also helped these communities thrive within the larger summit environment,” he said.

“There’s a real opportunity for these areas to grow even further in size, influence, and impact, while still benefiting from the cross-industry collaboration that SBC Summits are known for. Bringing these communities together under one roof creates a richer, more connected event experience for everyone involved,” he added.

SBC Summit Americas: Key role in shaping the future of the gaming

“SBC Summit Americas plays a key role in shaping the future of the gaming and sports betting industry by fostering innovation, cross-market collaboration, and strategic growth opportunities across North and South America,” Robalino commented.

“One standout example is the First Pitch competition, which gives emerging startups a platform to showcase their ideas to investors and industry leaders, sparking innovation and opening doors for potential partnerships, funding, and growth. It’s an exciting glimpse into the future of the sector.

The summit also acts as a powerful connector that brings together operators, suppliers, affiliates, and regulators from both continents. This creates a unique opportunity to learn from different regulatory environments, operational models, and consumer behaviors, ultimately helping businesses adapt, evolve, and expand.

In addition, the event naturally lends itself to strategic alliances and even conversations around mergers and acquisitions, as companies eore new ways to scale and strengthen their presence across the Americas.

By providing the environment for these critical conversations and connections, SBC Summit Americas is actively helping to shape a more innovative, collaborative, and globally-minded industry,” he said.

Responsible gaming and regulation: Two standout themes

When asked about the biggest trends that have dominated discussions at this year’s event, he answered the following: “At SBC Summit Americas 2025, two standout themes that sparked some of the most meaningful conversations were responsible gaming and the ongoing evolution of regulation across both North and South America.

Panels explored in player protection theme

“One of the most impactful shifts was the way responsible gaming was integrated directly into the core of the conference, rather than as a separate track. This decision reflected the industry's growing recognition that player protection is not just a compliance requirement, it's a strategic imperative. Panels explored how operators can leverage technology for early risk detection, build trust through transparency, and take a proactive stance on safer gambling. Discussions moved beyond theory and into actionable frameworks that attendees could implement immediately.

Focus on regulatory changes in Brazil

“On the regulatory front, there was a strong focus on the dynamic changes happening in Brazil, including licensing models and compliance structures, which drew considerable interest from both regional and international stakeholders. In North America, conversations zeroed in on the complexities of financial risk checks, advertising restrictions, and the need for greater coordination bestween jurisdictions.”

“What really set these discussions apart was the cross-regional exchange of ideas. With both continents represented, attendees were able to compare regulatory approaches, explore collaborative opportunities, and better understand how to navigate their own markets more effectively.

Ultimately, the summit fostered an open, solutions-focused environment where shared challenges became shared opportunities. A tone that will likely carry forward into future industry conversations,” he concluded.
