(Malta).- SBC Summit Malta sets the stage for groundbreaking discussions on payments, fraud prevention, and fintech advancements in iGaming.
On Thursday, 12 June, the InterContinental Hotel in Malta will host the Payments Innovation track at SBC Summit Malta, bringing together payments executives, fintech specialists, and compliance leaders to discuss the most pressing challenges and emerging opportunities in the industry.
Key Topics: Open Banking, Crypto, and Fraud Prevention
The track will feature sessions on Open Banking, crypto investment, and fraud prevention, equipping professionals with the insights needed to navigate regulatory changes, adapt to disruptive technologies, and meet evolving player expectations.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC, emphasized the importance of payments in the industry: "Payments are no longer just a backend function. They’re a key strategic pillar for driving engagement, trust, and scalable growth across the industry. That’s why we’ve introduced the Payments Innovation track—to give operators, suppliers, and payments professionals a focused space to deep-dive into critical trends in this space. Our goal is to turn these innovations into actionable advantage."
Open Banking: Transforming Affordability and Security
The session Open Banking in Europe: The Disruptor Transforming Payments and Affordability will explore how Open Banking can enhance affordability checks, streamline transactions, and reduce fraud risks.
Industry experts including Theresia Mallia (Kindred), Christian Reinheimer (LeoVegas), and Sean Spiteri (PressEnter) will share insights, with Rachael Kennedy (Payment Expert) moderating the discussion.
Crypto Adoption: Navigating Risks and Opportunities
As crypto adoption accelerates, the session Crypto Myth-Busting and Trends: How to Invest Wisely and Avoid Common Pitfalls will provide practical advice for operators, affiliates, and suppliers.
Led by Joseph Borg (WH Partners), Wesley Ellul (Quizando), Mark Grech (Pyaza), and Sabine Roiss (Crypto-Play), attendees will learn how to mitigate risks, navigate market volatility, and develop compliant crypto strategies.
Fraud Prevention and AML Strategies
The panel Redefining Fraud Prevention will address the evolving landscape of AML and fraud prevention, featuring Piotr Lisak (Kindred), Sergio Muscat (Oxygia Consulting), and Greg Papanastasiou (Play North).
Additionally, the Beyond Detection: The Convergence of Fraud & AML in iGaming Risk Management fireside chat will feature Tim De Borle (Casumo) and Tamas Kadar (SEON), discussing how operators can align fraud and AML strategies to strengthen risk management and compliance.
Expanding Industry Insights Beyond Payments
